Vital Oxide has been a God-send for me and my family. We live in an area of the US that has one of the highest rates of humidity , and the Vital Oxide keeps the mildew in check. Too, it is our go-to sanitizer on our dairy farm. It is a non-reactant which we can use around our dairy cows and goats. SAFE is a word that I simply adore, and Vital Oxide is just that-SAFE. Being an organic farm is a chore with all of the bacterium , viruses, fungus and worms we have to combat; Vital Oxide is a huge assist in staying hygienically compliant.

This is my all purpose product. I use it for counter tops, daily shower/tile spray, shower curtains hems, smelly laundry (wash immediately after spraying, do not let dry), hair brushes, etc. I have a spray bottle of this in the kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms. Vital-Oxide is a hospital-grade disinfectant and has no annoying fragrance! I like to know things are clean, not covered up with some scent.
Update: My recent purchase of this item has a very light, chalky-mint smell. (I goes away pretty fast, might just be the actual ingredients or a variation in the plastic bottle it comes in... just guessing.) I called the company; they said they don't add fragrance. I still use Vital Oxide.

Used this first on our new house in the crawl space. I'm chemically sensitive and could NOT use bleach for the mold. I found this wonderful product and now use it to sanitize kitchen surfaces, showers, etc. Love the fact that it does the trick on mold and bacteria while being non-toxic. I have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) and am VERY limited on what cleaning products I can use. THIS WORKS!

I really expected to find no damage. BUT the product's container - gallon jug - was crimped in several places, obviously from its own weight in multiple drops during shipment. Nothing leaked and the handle was intact, so I am keeping this. I have used it only once so far. It seems ok. But I will update re its effectiveness later on when I have used it on tougher problems. Meanwhile it needs to be noted that the long side of the box was crimped and a vertical corner of this rectangular box was pinched mildly. However the jug's plastic cover was entirely shattered (see photos) because only the sides were adequately protected. Photos could not be included in the Packaging Review, so I have included them here. One star has been withheld pending further use.

I found out about Vital-Oxide from a friend who manages floor cleaning services for corporate clients. I tried it on mold on my house gutters and mold comes right off! I have tried grill cleaner, bleach and oxy bleach but never had results as complete as this product provides. I've also used it on my shower doors where soap and mold build-up is almost impossible to clean. I spray it on and wait a few minutes. The mold just floats away! Also cleans painted exterior surfaces quickly.

This has a very faint chlorine odor which is acceptable coming from someone bothered by the slightest of scents. The odor is not as strong as when using bleach. The bottle claims at certain strengths and exposure times, this kills staph, MRSA, salmonella, Norovirus, HIV type 1, Enterobacter, H1N1 Flu, Hepatitus B & C and a multitude of other weird things I won't bother to type. Look it up on their website. It is also no rinse. I use it in my carpet scrubber and also spray full strength on countertops and bathroom surfaces.

Of the two gallon bottles I received, both were dented. I rolled them around enough (before opening) to get the bottoms reshaped to stand flat. The plastic bottles are thin and kind of scary to think they may have been manhandled (let's face it--you know they were manhandled at more than one point during their journey). Amazingly, neither were leaking.

Effective product, very little smell/harshness compared to bleach having a pleasantly clean light scent. Eradicates mold quickly as well simple to use. Is pricey although, saves your upper respiratory system from getting wigged out by bleach during certain applications as well, it wont' strip colors.
