not nearly sticky enough. you have to use twice as much as you would with a more expensive brand to get what you need to stay in place, so you may as well save yourself the time and aggravation and just buy better tape to start with. not worth it!

It is about 1/3 price of some big brand, and it certainly deserve the money and serve the purpose as packaging tape.

Certainly, this is not the best tape, and you can not depend it on taping some big stuffs, or use it for your familly moving.

Howevr, if you need tapes to tape some package for shipping, this tape serves the purpose.

I use this tape to ship out christmas gifts, and something I sold on ebay. I never have any problem.

My suggestion is to use the moeny you save from purchasing thses tapes to buy a basic tape dispenser, and you will find a day-light diffirence in packing.

Great tape. Why go to The Home Depot and get a generic single roll for 4.00 when you can get six rolls for under $8. Also, the quality is as good or better than Scotch General Purpose packaging tape. Adheres great and covers marks in boxes well.A winner

Bought this and two others for moving our home. It sticks almost as well as
Intertape 89263 Carton Sealing Tape 1.9-Inches x 55 Yards
and better than Duck clear packing tape
but had no trouble sticking to itself or moving blankets. None of the three stuck to cardboard boxes very well and would not recommend any of them for shipping unless you put multiple passes on. In which case this would be the best, since It's thin, It's cheap, It's twice the roll of others

I've purchased cheap tape off Amazon before, and it was fine. But this stuff is BAD. Talk about cheap! It's incredibly thin, flimsy, static-y and it STINKS terribly like chemicals. I have to use at least twice as much to seal boxes, so I should have just sprung for something higher quality and paid a bit more for it. Live and learn! Ten bucks essentially wasted.

I first started buying individual rolls of this stuff a few years back. I never thought too much about tape that time, as the online portion of my business was fickle and hardly worth considerable concern. When business picked up I needed more of this stuff to do the custom packaging for warehouse distribution. ( I make my own boxes with cardboard sheets, packing paper, and this tape ). I also use the tape for taping up custom shipping boxes and also for those annoying USPS tubes which would never stay closed by themselves. Well in any case, I started to use a lot of this stuff. I was buying it at the time for $1.14 for the 1.89X55 rolls, I ended up usually buying a case of 36 or whatever they had stock at my local supermarket. However I was buying so much, and the store was very bad at restocking. Sometimes I Just needed tape that day, and the store didn't have a single roll. Well the other stuff is way more expensive, and is so strong and does not stretch at all. Other tapes are more like duct tape then packing tape. This is the kind of tape which can stretch and help tight seal packages. So yeah, nothing else but this stuff would work for me. Seriously, I tried all the other brands available from everywhere like Wal-mart, Office depot, and so-on. I only wanted this cheap stuff. So I started looking online, and low and behold they have 1.89X110. More bang for the buck. I bought a case of 36 from another online seller and lasted me nearly 3 months in the office. After a little more searching, I thought it would be great if I could get free shipping from Amazon. And yes, low and behold Amazon now offers this tape in the large size case of 36 w/ free shipping. Thank you Amazon, and thank you seller for providing me with this great tape for such a low price. And thank you China, I love your tape!

This tape worked great for making and sealing boxes during our move. It was better than the more expensive clear stuff my husband brought home from the hardware store after this ran out. I would buy again and highly recommend for a good affordable packing tape.

There isn't anything positive about this product. So here are the negatives.

It's too thin. The reason I bought the tan color tape is to cover up any marking left on old boxes that I am reusing. But you can see right through the tape. I have a hard time try to find beginning of the tape, because again it's too thin. Once you do find it, you end up ripping along the length of the tape. Once again, because it's TOO THIN. You might be unlucky enough to get 2 or 3 rips at the starting length of the tape and then try to match up to a good start with full width of the tape. Of course as others had said, the tape is not sticky enough. I ended up having to use 2 to 3 layers of the tape just to make it somewhat useful. Back to 3M shipping tape for me.

Thin and not too sturdy but it gets the job done when you don't need a lot of strength. If you are shipping something heavy then this is not the tape for you.

This stuff works well enough for my light-duty uses (we use these to tape labels on, not to seal boxes), but if you need a sturdy tape... keep looking.
