As is clearly stated in the item description - the internal flow channel of all three differently sized items is the same - 5mm. I wanted 1/2" and the only thing that is 1/2 inch is the flange on the 5mm channel. If you're counting on full 1/2" flow, this will reduce the flow! As it turns out it was an acceptable (if undesirable) reduction, so I kept it installed. It does work well. And there was nothing devious about the seller or the description, I just missed and and want to call it out for others. I thought this product was the answer because I just couldn't find reasonably priced flow indicators much above 1/4". I was fooled (again no fault of the seller) so hopefully you won't be.

if you're using this to indicate flow where there is very little flow, (less than say, 1.5 gallon per hour, as an educated guesstimate) it will not work. the spinner in the middle doesn't spin. a little dissapointed by that.

Do not buy. Broke as soon as I tried to put on tubing. Not worth $22 to wait and it break on you. Plastic is cheap and brittle as well as the ro-to part hits the inside when it spins and makes a annoying vibrating noise. 1 star cause it failed, if there was a zero star I would.

Used it to test water flow through a pool automated chlorinating system. Initially worked fine but the chlorine deteriorated its performance. But it did prove that my system was working.
