    I have worn these boots for about the last 5 years, the exact same model. But the quality is falling. This latest pair is leaking within 2 months. And after water gets in they stink forever. Switching to sneakers. Have contacted warranty dept. Both boots have holes in the soles in the exact same places. Looks like planned obsolescence to me. My feet have been wet for a week. Timberland - you owe me $100 because these are going into the trash after 2 months of use.

    UPDATE : Warranty dept ignored me completely.

    I have owned 3 other pairs of these boots. I have worked outside and as a bartender. The lace up boot gives my ankles extra support in the late and long hours. and the Waterproof is a bonus. I can be standing in 2 inches of water, and my feet are nice and dry.
    I wear them with my work clothes or with blue jeans, and they look great. and they feel even better. Wouldn't travel or work without them.

    Decent pair of boots but unfortunately I decided to return them for another pair of different timberland s. I bought a pair of premium heavy timberland s about 10 years ago and when I compared my old boots to these new basic timberland... Well let me say there was no comparison granted the premium boots cost almost 50 dollars more. As I said they are a decent pair of boots but for that price I would rather buy a cheaper pair of Sketchers with the same quality OR spend a extra 50-75 dollars for the more premium boots which are definitely better well made and way more beefy and attractive.

    I've owned about 10 pairs of these over the past bunch of years. The ONLY complaint I have is that the sole wears unevenly on the back if you have even a slightly awkward step. I tend to land my steps on the outside back of my shoes, so I always have more wear and tear on those parts of my shoes. Unfortunately, the soles on these seem to wear down much quicker than any other shoe I have. But they are comfortable, look great, have a legendary name, and are well made. And I understand the sole wear part could be largely in part to the way I walk, so I can't blame them solely for that. I'd recommend these for sure. They always last me a good amount of time and look great with all jeans and regular "boot cut" pants. If you don't wear boot cut pants, either prepare to look odd by having pant cuffs that don't cover the top part of these boots or get some. Skinny jeans or tighter pants are not going to work with these. But if you have boot cut jeans and pants, you'll be good to go and very happy with these.

    These are the boots. No nonsense, durable, waterproof. If you treat the leather, they will last several years, and Timberland stands behind their product if you have any issues. They replaced a pair for me after a few years of wear because they developed a leak. I do recommend adding a doctor Scholls insert for added warmth if you wear them in winter and added comfort if you expect to be running or on your feet a lot. Otherwise I think they are perfectly comfortable on their own. They look good too. I tend to wear these in an office setting during the winter so I don't ruin my dress shoes in the snow, salt, and slush, or if I am heading to a job site, and I don't feel out of place. With my pants covering the boot leg, they pass unnoticed.

    I had to send these back because they were too large. But, having tried them on, they're "basic" indeed. Not much comfort (softness/padding) involved in these. Having returned them, rather than get them in the smaller size, I splurged and upgraded to the premium boots. BIG difference. Much more comfortable than these.
