These window locks worked quite well. I opted to install two of them on each window and once I tightened them down with a wrench it was impossible to pry open the window. The price was very attractive and the seller shipped these out to me in a timely manner.

When I am away from home I wanted to securely lock my sliding emergency egress basement window and I used 2 of these window locks, 1 for the bottom and 1 for the top. They work perfectly! The rubber pad helps from scratching the frame and in combination with the 2 thumb screws, holds very well. If someone wants to come in, they will have to brake the window which will set off the security system I have installed. Holds and fits much better than the smaller, single thumb screw version.

Great for keeping windows tightly shut. Note They will damage, depending what your window frame is made out of, your window frame when you tighten down but once locked into place they are sturdy.

I bought this for the windowsill on the third floor of my apartment.
The window can be opened from the outside if a person climbs the pipe right next to me window.

I bought three. One is to secure the right-most pane, and then the middle pane is latched to the left-most pane (which is next to the pipe).
I put TWO of these on the left-most pane; one stacked next to the other.

There's no WAY someone with one hand hanging awkwardly on the pipe would be able to push the slightly ajar window open.

Quite secure, I like the double sized, dual-screw scheme.

These function as-advertised and cant beat the price for what you get. As some of the reviews say, the thumb screws loosen over time so beware. Otherwise a great way to safely enjoy the cool night air. I pulled as hard as I though I should and could not budge my window with two of these installed.

I tested this thing out thoroughly on my sluding glass door because I was worried about trusting something so small and deceptively simple with the security of my home. If you screw it tight onto the track of a sliding door, the door will not open no matter how hard you pull.

I bought this for an extra layer of protection for my sliding door. It screws into the tip track of the door and prevents it from opening wider than where the lock it placed on the track. If you put it directly behind the sliding door the door won't open even if you forget to lock the actual door. I personally like it better than putting a bar in the door
