The sofa product as shipped is basically worthless from a design stand point. I think that has come across loud and clear from other reviewers, so I won't "beat a dead horse" so to speak. The slick backing is ridiculous considering the purpose of this product.

Here's what I have done to make this work for me: First I went to the big blue box and got some of that rubberized shelf liner. I have found it works great as a light weight area rug anti skid mat. Keeps rugs from slipping when their sprayed on latex backing is long gone but the rug surface is still good.

I sewed a long strip to each end of the seat cushion part and tacked it along the edges of the seat part to keep the rubber mat in place. (yes, I sew) Then I cut pieces for both arm sections and a long piece to go across the top of the couch. This keeps the cotton duck mat in place for the most part. However, as a back up, I also got some of those curled upholstery pins and put one on each of the corners to secure the cover. I added a little "give" to compensate for the weight of the dogs that consider this sofa theirs, so the pins would not pull out.

Works like a charm. It is pathetic that I had to go to this much trouble to get a product to perform as it was designed. I had just used a king size sheet before but it was too thin given the frequency of muddy feet with red Georgia clay all over them.

I'll update this review as time progresses and the cover is laundered. But so far, so good with a lot of tweaking!

I have a sofa bed measuring 79.5" width from end to end and this cover is a PERFECT fit. Material is not flimsy at all for the price point and falls neatly and in place. Just with any cover, you will need to rearrange and smooth out once it's been sit on and such...it holds well in its place. Maybe it's due to my couch being a microfiber so it has that somewhat "velcro" effect.

I am very satisfied with this purchase and totally happy to finally toss out my make shift cover. With this cover on, my couch still retains its clean look. Not cheesy/cheap looking.

Perhaps the reason for the negative reviews are based on the type of couch you have and obviously, your expectations at the price point. If you want thicker material because you are expecting heavy use or you have a big dog or numerous pets, then I suggest to look for something that will accommodate your needs and pay a little more.

This particular item is perfect if you just have a small dog/small pet and somewhat minimal to average daily use, then this fits the bill. I uploaded some images of my couch so I hope that helps your decision to buy or not to buy.

I read all the reviews. Lots of negative, but I thought it would be different. I am not a picky person at all. It only lasted 2 weeks. You really did have to adjust it constantly. I have a small sofa and it barely fit it. If you didnt fix it after every sitting it looked horrible. Also its a pet friendly cover, well I have a white and fawn french bulldog. After 2 days, his white fur was everywhere and was impossible to come off! My vaccum didnt work very well, the red lint brush didn't work. THe only thing that worked was sticky tape lint rollers.
Overall it was a waste of 40 dollars for a product that was bagged up for Good Will within a month. For our situation, it didnt work.

This product is a total waste of money. Not only was it slow to arrive, it's only a week old and with only one washing (which was needed within just a few days), it is falling apart. The fabric is cheap and cheap looking. Within a few days, the threads on the back lining fabric began breaking apart and the lining itself began to deteriorate--BEFORE its' first run through the washer and dryer. Neither vacuuming or washing will remove the dog hair (my dog is SMALL and is NOT a major shedder). It does not fit the sofa and does not stay in place. I doubt I can return it since it has gone through a cleaning cycle (would if I could, but don't want to go through the packaging process and pay the shipping charges). I can only say I'm out over $40 bucks and feel I've been scammed. Amazon! Maybe this vendor is working for you in other areas, but you need to be more cautious about what you are posting for sale. Until now, I have trusted your offerings, your services, and, for the most part, have been satisfied. No longer the case. I feel I now have no alternative but to rule you out of my attempts to purchase what I cannot find locally and identify another reliable resource. I hope you or the vendor will contact me and offer a return of my money. If either of you do, I will package and return (you pay the shipping charges). People who may be considering this thing, FORGET IT! If you need a product of this kind, this one is definitely NOT your answer.

Our dog was making her 'nest' on our leather couches and scratching 1 of the cushions. I could not get the back to stay up but it's not necessary for us. We actually tuck the arm and back portion of the cover down in the cushions to help keep it in place. FYI - it will not stay looking like the picture, but these do wash and wear well.
