I bought both the 3/8 and 1/2 GearWrench torque wrenches. Both tools died within the first year and were repaired under warranty. I had to pay for shipping to the service facility. 3/8 drive wrench is acting up again and sometimes stops updating the torque display. This has resulted in overtorqued fasteners.

Pros:
Easy to use
Remembers last torque setting when turned off.
Ratchet has small steps
Audible and visual feedback as you approach torque setting

Con:
Unreliable
Poor battery life. Best to unscrew battery cap to completely disconnect battery when tool is not in use.

Bottom line: I don't trust it anymore and I am looking for a replacement.

Maybe it's a good tool, but unfortunately it's not what's described - the title says "10-100 in/lbs", when in reality it should be "10-100 ft-lbs".
