What can I say, it's a genuine replacement for my strainer basket which had started to crack. It works fine, and I hope it lasts for a while (I have a salt-water system so hopefully the basket will last longer than if it was in a chlorine-based system). The price was competitive, especially when you consider shipping costs. I'm happy with my purchase, it does exactly what I expect it to do. One tip I learned when I saw my basket start to crack -- don't knock it against something to help get leaves out, etc, when you are cleaning it -- that can cause it to crack sooner. Although my old basket held up for many years, I'm going to be nicer to this one and hopefully it will last longer.

I think if I'm really careful with it this one will last longer than the factory original, but they are thin plastic for something you need to frequently empty. At least Amazon's price was about half of the local pool supply store (which didn't even have them in stock).

It was bad enough the basket wasn't described clear enough size wise now you expect a letter. They should have pointed out that this basket was for a much larger pump probably commercial in size. pictures and part numbers mean nothing to me when dealing with an old original basket with no visible numbers other than size these baskets look alike hence an easy mistake by the purchaser.
