I ordered a pair of these 45-pound plates. One was perfect, but the other was shoddily made and somehow passed through the QA process and was shipped to me with a defect. The defect was that the center hole didn't allow for a bar to pass through. I had to use a grinder to widen the center hole for proper fit. Once I made the modification, the plates were perfect. It was very surprising to run into such an error/defect when I went down to squat in the basement first thing in the morning. Obviously, I figured out the problem right away and (luckily) I had a grinder to fix the issue. My wife was freaked out that I was using a grinder at 5 AM though. ;-) If I didn't have a grinder or dremel, this plate would have been useless to me. I probably won't buy this brand of gear again.

Bought two 25 pound plates. They came out to be 24.7 and 25.2 pounds. So very close to the exact 25 pound mark. However, the tag it came with had a warning: " This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm." and I wonder what those chemicals are...

I ordered two of these each in 25 & 45 pound plates. Receive them all in great condition and seemed to avoid any of the issues with burrs on the inside where the plates slide onto the bar. I weighed them with a digital luggage scale, and they were 25.2 - 25.5 and 45.4 - 45.5 respectively. For this price I find that to be more than adequate. As far as the finish goes, they were fine with the exception of maybe some sloppy silver paint. But honestly, I use these to lift not to look at!
