Good-
I received this product two days after I ordered it, which I am very happy about.
I have been looking for a more complicated paint-by-number, which I found, and am also very happy about.
Also, the painting is very beautiful!
Bad-
The Amazon tape on the box went in a diagonal line across one flap, only touching the very end of the second flap. Meaning that it was poorly taped and easily opened, being that only mostly one flap had tape on it where as the other one did not.
I opened the package and the white paint was open. I do not know if this happened in the factory or during shipping, because there is no white paint on the actual product or inside the box, which leads me to believe that it happened inside the factory rather than during shipping. Not happy about this, as I am now forced to go out and purchase my own white paint, which is not acceptable.
Also, the brush is slightly too big for the very small areas, the brush kit should either include two brushes, 1 very small one and 1 that is slightly larger, or 1 very small brush.

Not very happy.

The first color I opened to start painting was black and it was runny and looked light gray on the painting. Then, after using black from another kit I had finished with, I discovered there are a ton of areas with NO NUMBER on them and NO NUMBER on the accompanying sheet.

Then I discovered there were a ton of places with the same number combinations right next to each other!!!! This is the WORST paint by number kit I have ever seen!!! I loved the picture and am so disappointed that there's probably no way I'll ever finish it since it was made so poorly.

There is a long wrinkle in the board. It's not a result of poor packing or shipping. It's evident that it was NOT caused by being bent, but rather created during manufacture. The box it came in was not bent or crushed in any way. Plus, it's not like a bend. It's an actual sort of long bubbled up wrinkle in the surface of the board. A huge disappointment.

And the board itself is not flat, it has a curved bowed shape. if you lay it on a table, it bows upward.

Also, the black pot of paint was open and all the paint dried out. I do not believe this occurred during shipping either, because there was not paint smeared in the shipping box. I believe it probably happened at the warehouse and dried out over time. Otherwise, there would have been a horrible mess all over the product box and inside the shipping box.

I do NOT recommend this kit. The paint colors are not accurate nor are the blending instructions. It's impossible to get a picture that looks like this one with the directions they give you. I had to mix many of the colors on my own (not following their directions) to even come somewhat close to the painting on the cover. The lighter colors do NOT cover the numbers even after several coats. Also the numbers are so small in the rocky/water area that it's impossible to read them. I was very disappointed for this kit and was glad I didn't pay that much for it. This is my second kit by this company. The first one I did went into the trash! This one is going in the same place.

This product came super fast upon purchase!!! I am sure it is a great product and look forward to painting this as soon as I order the #1 white paint, since the white paint arrived in this kit open and dried up and UNUSABLE. Disappointed with this and I did read this has happened to others with same color. .

I have done a ton of paint by numbers so when I opened the box my first reaction was great the paint is think so it will cover. But once I started painting I noticed how dark the lines and numbers are and the paint does not cover it at all I had to do more coats then with thinner paint. The package could have been shipped better since it was mashed onto a too small box but it didn't ruin the painting. The design is beautiful so I can deal with the paint issue.

When I saw this painting on line, it was exactly what I was looking for. However, I was very disappointed in what I actually received.

First of all, I love paint by numbers. I have done numerous ones, normally by Dimension Crafts. This was my first one - and my last one - by Royal & Langnickel. The picture that is on the front of the box seems to be the original painting. If you turn the box over, the picture of what the paint by numbers painting will actually look like is on the back. There is little comparison!! In fact, had I seen the back photo, I probably would not have purchased this.

The colors are not the same. Many of the details are not the same, either. For example, the sky is beautiful on the cover photo, with several shades of blue, purple, pink, gray, yellow, orange, and red. What they actually give you (and code for) is bright purple/lavendar, fluorescent yellow, and fluorescent orange. Additionally, the outlining of the sections is thick, blue lines, and the number codes are also in blue. This makes it extremely difficult to paint over in order to not have the lines or numbers show through, especially with lighter colors such as white and yellow. I've had to put 4 coats on for the lighter colors, just to accomodate this.

The only thing that is saving the day is that I always keep my paint pots from previous paint by numbers kits. I utilized some of these to create a sky that was at least somewhat realistic for a sunrise or sunset. Be prepared to do the same if you buy this product.
