I've always uses Corelle bowls for my Bichon and she has always been a fast eater but it never unduly concerned me. Last month, however, we adopted a little Maltese mix rescue and found out what a fast eater really was. This little girl practically inhaled her food and I was lucky to be able to set the bowl down before it was empty.
I came across the Dogit Go Slow bowls as I was looking at dog puzzles and some more expensive dog bowls designed to slow down a dog's eating. The other bowls looked way too big for my girls , who normally don't eat more than one half of a cup at a time. The small Dogit bowls seemed perfect. I wanted to get the two bowls of the exact same type since I am making sure that my ten year old Bichon doesn't feel slighted by having a new sister. I figured the Dogit bowls were relatively inexpensive and so, if they didn't work out, I would not be out much.
To my surprise, the bowls are so very sturdy and the rubber bottom really does keep them from traveling across the room as the girls lick out every morsel and speck of food. They both can get their faces completely in the dishes and I have used both wet and dry food. The dishes are easy to clean too. I really am tickled at how this bowl design does slow down my little food guzzlers and highly recommend it.

I have a Papillion mix that is about 12lbs and a Daschound mix that's like a piggy at 18lbs. They both eat super fast and then end up choking or throwing up afterwards. Anyway, these bowls are very well made and sturdy, but the medium is too large for them. I should have bought the SMALL size!

I rescued a Husky/Shepherd mix pup when he was about 10 weeks old. After a few weeks of having him, I finally decided to get this bowl for my fast eater. I fed him first (out of 4 dogs) in a different room, walk back to the kitchen to give the other doggies their dinner and he was already done with his food (about 30-45 seconds). It was ridiculous! With this bowl, he still eats like a warrior, but it takes him four times are long. The bowl is made out of heavy grade plastic (even his chewing doesn't make a dent in the bowl) with non-slip grips at the bottom. I got a large so this big boy will have room to grow, and it is pretty big, can fill a few cups of dry dog food, maybe 5-6. I would most defiantly recommend it for any fast eating dogs.
