I ordered two of these mainly for doing deadlifts and squats. I have had these for a few months now and like them more than any of the other plates I have because of the thickness of the plate and the ease of moving it compared to others I have now. No complaints about them.

Overall, this a a good plate. The casting of mine was good on the outer rim, but a bit rough inside the grips. Like many people, I really like the grips-they make handling the plate easier and also allow various other exercises to be done using the plate.

If you buy this, keep in mind that it is a good sized plate. I bought mine for doing leg extensions and getting it into a usable position was a bit of a challenge.

Naturally, you can expect that the box it arrives in will be beaten up pretty badly and the delivery person might not be super happy about carrying it to your door.

Our gym mostly has bumper plates, which make it hard to fit more than about 400lbs on the bar. (The 45lb plates are 3 inches wide.) That's where these great 100lb plates come in handy. Not only do these plates allow our people to get over 600lbs on a bar, they make heavy deadlift and squat days much easier. They also make loading and unloading faster.

While nothing will make a 100lb plate easy to handle, the grips (or cutouts) make it much easier to move these around than solid plates. You'll thank yourself for buying these over the other ones sold on Amazon without the grips.

Other than that, these are iron plates. They are indestructible.

I ordered four of these each in 10 & 2.5 pound plates. Received them all in great condition except for a couple of the 2.5's which arrived chipped (see pic). No issues with burrs on the inside where the plates slide onto the bar. I weighed them all with a digital luggage scale, and they were 10.0 - 10.4 and 2.5 - 2.7 respectively. For this price I find that to be more than adequate. As far the finish goes, they were fine with the exception of maybe some sloppy silver paint and the few ugly chips as noted. But honestly, I use these to lift not to look at!

Overall, this is a nice weight. The casting is good (although not perfect)and the handles are very useful for moving it around. I'm pleased with it.

If you order one, expect the box to be beaten up when it arrives-cardboard boxes don't stand up to a weight moving around in them.

At the time I purchased these plates they were 20% off the retail price along w/free shipping...so a good deal for brand-new plates! The 100 LB Champion Barbell plates were received quickly and were well-packaged. The plates themselves were in excellent condition...easy-to-hold with the way the grips were designed into the plate. Paint/color is good and looks to last awhile. If someone is looking for brand-new 100 LB Olympic plates they won't go wrong buying the ones manufactured by Champion Barbell.

The thing I like the most about these plates is that there is no front or back side. They are not as exactly sized as an Ivanko, but who cares. For working out they are great. Good price deal.

If they made a 1.25# olympoc version, I would buy 12!!!!!
