This is one of the only humidity and temperature units I could find. No issues with hooking the unit up. It seems to be turning the fan on at the right times. I hear the fan running both when its hot and when the humidity is high. Home inspectors recommend replacing the thermostat with a humidistat, but there are plenty of times when humidity is low and it is really hot outside, its good to run the fan during this time to reduce wear on the roof and get attic cooler for the A/C, even if its only like 5-10 degrees cooling it helps. This unit allows you to do both. I simply bypassed the wiring in my existing thermostat and installed this unit in front of it.

Just what I wanted and needed to make sure my roof fan exhausted both hot air (summertime) and humid air (wintertime). This should stop the growth of black mold on the underside of my roof. Of course, having an incompetent builder vent the bathroom exhaust fans into the attic didn't help! With that fixed and this new control, all is as it should be now.

Product does just what is advertises. I used it with an attic ventalation fan to turn it on at a certain temperature or humidity point. My only concern was knowing what settings to use. Nothing is in the papaerwork that comes with the unit. I called the 800 number and was told to set the temperature between 90 and 100 degrees and the humidity at 45%. Works great. Very simple to install.

For years I've lugged a big dehumidifier up into the attic in the winter and down into the basement for the summer.
I recently connected this new humidi/thermostat to the attic fan, taking off the old thermostat. In 3 days, it took my humidity from a moldy 92% down to 50%. Not more rotting my roof from the inside out!
Installation was uber-easy, including gathering the 3 tools I needed and climbing up into the attic, start to completion took less than an hour.

Geez! I can not sing enough praise about this fan.
My previous home had an attic fan.
So when we bought this new build. I didn't look to see if it was there in place. When I realized we did not have one I was puzzled as to why the builder never put it in to compliment the HVAC system. I guess thats the corners the builders cut these days.
Any way after 6 hours of crawling back and forth in that rat maze that the builders call an attic, trying to avoid putting our feet thru the ceiling-once we flipped the switch on: Within an hour we felt a hugh difference in our 2 year old house. I wish we had done it the 1st year when we saw there wasn't a fan.
The AC hardly even runs now-we have it set on 83 degrees and the attic fan at 100 degrees. And we live in Arizona.
We are considering the 'humidistat' for the upcoming winter. Will post about that when we get it installed.

We are redoing the insulation in our 1976 era house. To meet code we needed both temperature and humidity control of the roof exhaust fan. The DUOSTAT is easy to install as a replacement for the temperature controller. The only challenge was determining what level to chose for the humidity setting. The weekend I installed the DUOSTAT it chose to rain that night. At 50% it kicked on and ran all night. I had chosen too low a setting. It is now at 70% and has seen other rainy days without running.

Installed and worked perfectly. Purchased as I wanted the humidity function for this winter. After installation, powered it up and set for 35%, unit came on when humidity reached the set point. I increased the setting to 45% again worked as advertised. Instruction were excellent and it was very easy to install. I installed it remotely so I could set it easily without traversing down the attic to the fan itself. I mounted it on a panel I built to accept it directly above the attic access door. Very please so far with this purchase. My only complaint is that the available open area inside the unit for making electrical connections is very tight!
