When I saw this statuette, I decided it was the perfect anniversary present for my husband. While I love it, I am the first to admit it is a rather primitive, folk art style. I guess that is what appealed to me since it looks like someone carved it, maybe while sitting by the fire on a winter's night.

I wanted to get my wife something for our five year anniversary that had both a lot of feeling and would be memorable for years. I remembered giving her another Willow Tree figure (Mother with two children) and how much she loved it. I found this one and immediately purchased it!
