I'm new to the gluten free diet, and the hardest thing for me was trying to find substitute products for my favorite recipes, especially the comfort food casserols. This was perfect.

The flavor of this soup is richer than Campbells Cream of Mushroom - so on flavor alone making the switch was a huge bonus. I've tried the other (more expensive) gluten free cream of mushroom soups and I'd say I like them equally so this won out on price.

If you are making the switch from Campbells and using it in a recipe, you'll want to use less liquid or add a thickener because its less condensed.

I just used this soup in a crockpot recipe. Yummy! I did have to add a little corn starch at the end but the flavor was great. Which is nice when it comes to gluten free products. As you know, flavor is not always top priority for these manufacturers. I truly love this soup and want to buy it in bulk ASAP!

I ordered a case of this and though I won't go as far as to say that I am disappointed, I will say that there definitely better brands out there! I use Cream of Mushroon soup A LOT in cooking and was hooked on Campbell's before being told I need to go GF. I happened to try Pacific Foods version and I was much happier with its consistency and flavor. This GF Cafe brand is far too runny and is very one-dimensional in its flavor.
Shop around before ordering in huge quantities...

In my opinion, two reasons to avoid this brand: Genetically modified ingredients (soy and canola ingredients) and MSG (yeast extract, autolyzed yeast extract). Not to mention non-organic dairy (antibiotic milk, anyone?). Makes them no better than Campbell's. Support non-GMO (i.e., organic) foods!
