I gave this product four stars rather than five only because the description could have more plainly stated that this product is silicone. To the point, you can bend, twist or fold this holder any which way which may be implied in the text but is not made clear. I have a galaxy 3 covered by an otterbox case. The weight of my device causes this holder to sag, not collapse, but sag when placed in the vertical position. Placing my phone on its side is a far better way to go. In summary, if you are considering this product and reading this review consider whether, or not, you would feel more comfortable with a more rigid holder. Other than this point this product is everything it is advertised to be.

I read that this was flexible but decided to try it anyway. It is actually a little more flexible than I thought it would be. It does fit my Galaxy S4 well both standing on end and on it's side. If I try texting or something while it is on the stand it wiggles all over the place but the shape and size is good. I will continue looking for a better holder for me.

I purchased a SmartStand at a local office store several months ago, and loved it. It worked well for both my phone and Nexus 7, providing a stable stand for both. The old one was given to my grandson, and I purchased this one, thinking it was the same. It is not. Both are made of silicone, but this one is not nearly as "firm" or sturdy as the original, and is quite wobbly. The base is shaped completely differently, more of a "cup" now than the simple curve "lip" of the original-I can only surmise that they had to change the design as the thinner, less firm new version would not hold shape of the simple J style lip. It won't hold my Nexus at all and will barely hold the phone. The original stand would have been 5 out of 5 stars....this one? All in all, a pretty complete waste of money.

I have this stand in black for my desk in black that I purchased elsewhere and love it. I got this one as a gift for my boss who finally made the leap to a smart phone. I use mine at work and I love how my cell phone (my old Note4 & iPhone 6splus) fits fine even vertically without any chance of tipping. There's a hole that allow a charging cave which would seemingly work best with phone upside down, but I charge it at night and have never had to do that. I just love the solid simple design. I may get more for co-worker birthdays in different colors. I do think these are a bit pricey for what they are, but isn't everything?

The stand is so light that it keeps inching backward when I try to dial. And it is pretty much impossible to use when an iPhone is plugged in. When not plugged in, the lower lip also obscures the home button, which adds to the inconvenience. It works better with my Android phone, because you can turn it sideways while dialing, so it at least can be used when you're charging.

In the end, this stand is ineffective if you need it while dialing, which seems like a pretty basic function to me, and I'll have to buy another product for this purpose. Its cheap, which is great, but for me it is pretty useless, I'm afraid.

I love the way it holds my phone on my desk, but I dislike the "improvement" they made to the older model my friend has. This new one has a cupped base supposedly to hold the phone better. If I still had a small phone it would be perfect, but my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is much wider than the cup it is supposed to fit in and the phone does not fit flat in the holder as it should. I'm making do, but I wish it was exactly like the older version my co-worker has because hers fits my phone better.

Cute, no-frills phone holder. Love the colors (I have blue and lime green). Only drawback to it, and it's not really the product's fault, is that the way my phone charges (I plug in the USB is on the bottom of the phone) makes it impossible to place the phone upright to charge. I have to turn it upside down. I use it a lot to keep my phone near me so I can see the display easily. I also sometimes use it to prop up my kindle.
