We just received the breathe foam. We have a 14 year old Bassett hound with the worst breath imaginable. It is so bad that it peels paint. When she walks in the room, heads turn and visitors flee. If the Defense Department could package it, they could use it for chemical warfare except its use would violate the Geneva Convention. We are desperate and make regular vets trips just to have her teeth cleaned. However, given her age, we are reluctant to perform this procedure too often. I was skeptical that a foam could help, but was so desperate I took a chance. After just using it once, our hound smelled so much better! Another plus, she did not object to the flavor as much as some of the canine toothpastes we have used.

My poodle had the most atrocious breath! It was worse than "dog breath", it would fill a room. I tried brushing his teeth (which he hates) a few times a week, with no improvement. Than I decided to try this. I had tried many things including breath chews. At first I wasn't seeing much improvement except for a few minutes after I would use it. The directions say to just squirt it on the gums, and he would end up shaking most of it off. Than I thought maybe if I rub it into his gums, and wow it worked great! So I would recommend rubbing it in (if your dog let's you). It works much better this way. I love this product!!

TIP: Put the foam on your finger and then apply to teeth. Dogs don't like the foam pumping into their mouths.

My friend recommended this to me because his dog had accumulated a lot of plaque, he told me after using it for a week he just used his fingers to scape the tartar on his dog's teeth and it came right off! since the same thing was happening to my dog i bought all 4 of the tropiclean fresh breath products, the gel, the water, the foam and the treats.

I didn't even bother with the foam at first because my dog didn't seem to like it, so i just used the water and the gel. After a while my dog was really over the water stuff so i just stuck with the gel, which seemed to help. A few month after that plaque/tartar started to accumulate again even with regular brushing, ugh, so for some reason i started with the foam, my dog grew to like it! and with regular use the black tartar very close the gum line, half of it was very easy to scrape off. But strangely, then i noticed the product is only for the breath! and not for the tartar, but it still worked! bizarre. And every time i used it on his teeth his breath was wonderful, any bad breath would go away. My dog does not have horrendous breath though, only bad breath maybe every few days and it's not terrible, but as soon as i smell it, i give him a pump of this, and viola, delicious, for hours at least. I also give it to him before i drop him off to my mothers house so that all his kisses are delicious smelling.

Definitely takes away my dog's occasional somewhat mild bad breath. oh, and i squirt some on my finger and place on the side of his mouth, repeat again for the other side, he was none to crazy about me actually pumping the foam into his mouth, can't say i blame him.

As I posted before with the Tropiclean gel. If your dog fights you with the brush, the Tropiclean products are a lifesaver! We recently saw the vet and she was so impressed with the improvement in both of our dogs teeth with using the foam and the Tropiclean gel that she wanted to know the name to share with other patients. Both of our dogs showed noticeable improvement in weeks. We've been using for the last 3 months and still looking good and still no struggle from the dogs. I use the foam daily 4-5 times a week and the gel 1-2 times a week. The dogs love the minty taste and when I present the foam as a treat before bedtime, they look forward to it. No more head squirming, backing up and feeling like I've been wrestling. Those moments prevented me from wanting to brush again and again until I gave up on brushing then felt guilty because I knew I should be doing it but couldn't look forward to wrestling with the dogs. No more struggles, Tropiclean gets the tartar down and the breath fresh. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about these Tropiclean products.

This product does make the dogs' breath much nicer, however I only gave it 4 stars because my dogs run the other direction when they see me get it out - I have to pretty much fight with them to get it in their mouths. After it's in their mouth/on their tongues they are fine with it and swallow it right down . . . maybe it's just the sound of the swooshing as the foam comes out, who knows.

I'm not giving up on it though because it's so much nicer to get doggie kisses from fresh, minty mouths. It's never seemed to make them sick or bother them at all, I just hate the having to chase them around and/or waylay them when they're least expecting it to get it in their kissers.

Oddly enough, two of my four doggies will lick the gel version of this same product right up with no fighting - the other two don't like either version going anywhere near their mouths though.

If you really need to deep clean your dogs teeth get the gel and not the foam. If you just want to keep your dogs teeth clean after cleaning. This product is good
