So far my kitten has played with this toy very little and my other cat not at all. I gave it a 5 star rating because the toy is a good quality toy and seems like a great idea. I only wish my cats were not so picky when it comes to toys.

Sophie has a new "friend." It's green and blue, must have a very enticing aroma and apparently is just the right size for cuddling/kickboxing. Fortunately, it seems very content being in her presence, and the other kitty in the house is quite grateful! This is the second KONG cat toy I've ordered and am happy to have found ones that are large enough for her to hold onto and hold up to her kicking and licking (what's with all the licking?!?).

Will continue to seek out KONG toys as the need arises...Sophie is reminding me there are holidays later this year.

My 3 year old cat loved his bunny shaped Kong Wubba to death over a period of several months. It was by far his favorite toy! I saw this one and thought it looked really fun with the moppy strings and knew he'd like it because of the catnip and crinkles, so bought it for my boy. He took to it immediately and proceeded to rub his head all over it, lick it, carry it around the house, chew it, throw it, scratch it, and kick it. I thought we had another big hit on our hands!

After he'd played with it for half an hour, though, I looked it over and found he had completely ripped out 12 of the moppy strings! Even worse, they were nowhere to be found, meaning he ate them. Needless to say, kitty no longer has possession of his toy and I'm worrying about the potential illness and vet bills we may be facing because of his strange tastes. This is the first time he's ever eaten a toy, but he did eat his litter mat (literally tore it into strips and ate it). That was over a year ago and I thought he'd grown out of that phase, but apparently not. If your cat likes to eat non-food items, you may want to stay away from this toy because the moppy strings are easy to pull off! If they were sewn on better, this would be a really awesome toy.

We're planning to adopt a kitten soon and I'm going to save this toy for it, but will keep a very close eye on the moppy strings. I will update my review after the kitten has a chance to play with it.

Our new 4 month old kitten likes this toy. He carries it around by the soft "tail", though, and only plays with that part of the toy. He seems to be confused about the "moppy" part (twisted terrycloth-type strings on the main part of the kickeroo) and tries to eat them. A more enthusiastic cat might bite off these "moppys" & eat them. Overall, though, Graham likes batting it around and is excited about the "crackling" sound it makes.

Woody loved it for about 3 days and has ignored it ever since. It has 2 different textures, plus makes a rustling type noise, so you would think it would be enticing to him, but so far I seem to like it more than him.

Okay, so here's the deal. Kong makes really lasting pet toys. However (in my experience) because the exterior of the toys are so sturdy, my cats don't enjoy the catnip aspect near enough. They will bat at this thing, but then leave it pretty quickly. I hate to promote another brand on Kong's page, but Our Pets brand Cosmic Catnip catnip cat toys (pepper, cactus, fish, carrot) are the biggest hit in the past 10 years for my cats. They drag them around, roll all over them, and guard them from each other which promotes play. Catnip is SO strong in them that I only JUST replaced them after a year. If your animals tear up toys quickly, go Kong. It's not a bad choice. But if you want active play, go with Our Pets Cosmic Catnip. Oh, PS....this Kickaroo thing is pretty dang huge.

I have a 15 year old male cat who's very picky as to the toys he will pay attention to -- this is one of the few that's kept him happy and moving for more than a few minutes. The crinkle material on one end keeps his attention, and for some reason the fluffy "tassels" at the other end keeps him wanting to hug it and roll around with it. I've tried a lot of other cat toys that he looks at and then gives me the "you have got to be kidding!" look, then walks away -- this one definitely does not fit into that category!

My cat has one of these and she LOVES it so much! She'll just lay around and cuddle it or play with it by herself. It's seriously amazing! I bought her two to help entertain her more. She loves the crinkly noise. I find it annoying but it's better than her tearing up the furniture
