These brushes are 9" in length and about 3/4" wide. They are more for large area work vs. working a small detailed area. So although they resemble toothbrushes keep in mind they are much bigger. They are well made though and at about the same price a toothbrush would run you they are a good value.

A lot of the time the words "good" and "cheap" don't go together, but in this case, they do. This wire brush set is cheap, but the brushes have a lot of bristles. Other cheap brushes I've bought only had an inch or two of bristles (not much more than a toothbrush), but these have a good 4 inches or so of bristles. I'm partial to the brass brushes since they won't scratch most metals, but it's nice to have the steel bristles for tougher jobs and the nylon bristles for gentler jobs.

Good quality brush set for all sort of material.

Well designed handle for comfortable grip and use angle.

Good sized for larger working surface area, and should last a long time.

You don't need to put high pressure on the brushes to scrap away, that will bend the bristles and make your job less effective. Just glide the brushes across with light pressure and let the bristle ends do its works

As described. I've only used one of the brushes (The brass one) and although I wanted a much stiffer bristle, this one will work for the smaller jobs. If you want a HEAVY DUTY Brush, this isn't the one for you...

Nice set of three abrasive brushes. These are great for knocking down heavy rust or buildup on metal or other hard surfaces. The set includes three different levels of abrasive bristles, so you can vary the harshness of the brushing.

Since abrasive brushes cannot, by design, last for years of heavy use, these brushes appear to be reasonably constructed to last adequately for occasional home use. I would not recommend these for daily use in a commercial environment as they do not look up to the task, and, to be fair, they are not priced like commercial tools either and most people don't need commercial level performance nor do they wish to pay commercial level price! These are inexpensive tools perfect for occasional home use.

I used them to remove heavy rust from a thin piece of decorative stamped metal. The softer brush I chose did a good job without scarring the surface much, if at all. I can already think of several other projects where they will be useful. Good choice for me.

I purchased these brushes to do some deep grout cleaning. I was left with a big mess and they perminently discolored my tile. When using the brushes the color on the brass and stainless brushes was coming off. The stainless brush left grey that actually discolored my tile and it now looks worse then when I started. Stay away from these brushes!

The brass (light brown) brush I used for cleaning a skateboard grip tape. It worked quite well, but a lot of the teeth had worn off. I guess that's better than damaging the grip tape. I mistakenly used the brass to scrub a bath shower floor with black/gray mold, and the mold came off quite easily with pine sol.

It seems for bathroom shower floor tiles, one should use, the nylon brush (black), not the brass, to minimize tile damage.

I used the metallic (gray) brush to scrub cat litter dust off a pavement, it seemed to work quite well, getting 70% of it off.

Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't label each brush, nor say what each items/environments are best suitable for scrubing

I bought these brushes for many applications. The bristles seem to bend and wear very fast and on the gold brush it has lost a good many bristles after 1 use. The black brush is good. I do wish they were better quality and had longer bristles.
