We had a bottle of this stuff that I picked up somewhere... Lasted us forever. (2-3 years) when we finally ran out, I didn't see it anywhere local, but I figured that dog shampoo was dog shampoo. Picked up some of the Hartz stuff. My dog (a Cairn Terrier) kept me up nights chewing on his butt. Picked up another brand of "Oatmeal" shampoo from Petco... No change. Got the expensive blue "Anti-Itch" shampoo with all of the vetrinary logos on it. My dog wound up with sore red hot spots from scratching and chewing.

So, 6 months and 3 bottles of shampoo ranging from $10 to $20 a bottle, and I went out in search of this shampoo again. Boy do I feel like a friggen' idiot. It's relatively inexpensive here, and I could have saved a ton of money, frustration, and pain for my little guy by getting the right stuff from the get go. Plus, with all of the other shampoos, I was amazed at how much I had to use to get a decent lather. The Hartz stuff took almost 1/4 of a bottle per wash when one bottle of this lasted ~2 years of bathing my dog bi-weekly. (As I'm typing that I'm thinking... That can't be right? But it is. Ok, bi-weekly to monthly maybe? Whenever he started to smell.)

Also, the chewing led to him stinking that much faster, so he got bathed more often. Rinse, lather, repeat. Now he's needed a bath once a week, and it's making his skin even drier, and the problem keeps magnifying.

Nothing else will ever be used on my dog. Washed him with this the day it came in and he was already quieter on the scratching and chewing front. Great shampoo.

This is one of our all-time favorite shampoos at our professional K-9 training facility. No matter how many times a dog is given a bath, how often or how dirty they are, this shampoo does the job well without drying out their skin, making their fur too soft or adding too much oil to their coat. This shampoo smells naturally fresh from the tea tree oil and it dilutes really well, too, even though it's not a concentrated shampoo. We dilute it 1 part shampoo to 3 parts water without any decrease in performance.

My family and animals have been hit with major parasite infection from mountain wild creatures where we live. I have tried all kinds of things natural and otherwise to no avail. I remembered I had used this brand before with the parasite formula which had coal tar in it and I could not believe how soft it made the dogs fur. Never had their fur been so soft even with conditioners. We have toy poodles and their fur can sometimes feel a little dry.

Here is what we did: I have researched for hours and hours on what to use to get rid of these things. Tea Tree Oil came up by scientists as the best thing to kill some parasites. So, I ordered this shampoo and a conditioner but the conditioner did not make it here in time so had to use human Paul Mitchell conditioner on them. ($$$) After that I used the leave in Paul Mitchell body conditioner. This stuff is fantastic! Without conditioner their hair was not as soft with this shampoo because Tea Tree oil is naturally a little drying. You will probably want to use a conditioner with this. Preferably a tea tree conditioner as well. We warmed the bathroom washed all of them in the tub. We let this set on their fur for 10-15 minutes and then rinsed it. It got rid of so many things and stopped their itching immediately. They were happy again and not depressed. This should be repeated every few days or so to catch the egg cycles but I did not do that. i am now going to use a Lime and Sulfur dip I got on Amazon and dip them all. That should take care of the parasite problem. i am also giving them antibiotics "fish flex" I got on Amazon. 10 mg per 1 lb of weight two times a day. I also give them the human Wormwood formula for parasites in their food by Kroeger, also on Amazon. It is very inexpensive.

I have used 3 different shampoos from SynergyLabs on my dogs and have yet to be disappointed. This particular flavor seems to help my dog Turk with his itchy dry skin.

On a side note, I had been trying several shampoos to help alleviate what I thought was mange. Turk was loosing hairs in spots (ears and top sides of back) no matter what I treated him with. I was able to get it under control using Hydrocortisone. I hope this may help someone else if they are in the same dilemma I was once in.

We have a smooth coat JRT who suffers with many skin allergies. This shampoo worked wonders on his inflamed, itchy skin. Literally the inflammation left and so did the itching. I would recommend using the conditioner too.
Our wire haired Jack has no skin irritations, but we use this on him as well.

I have two bichons and they get hotspots and itch quite a bit. This is a good shampoo. I use it on their bodies because it does say to keep it away from eyes. I did as was instructed and left it on them for about 10 minutes or so... I would lather one up and then let that sit while I lathered up the other one. Seems to be working well though but this is only the second bath they have gotten with it.

My dogs have hot spots and dry skin sometimes. This shampoo was very good in clearing their skin issues up, but could smell better. I guess that's the tea tree. Despite the smell, however, I will not be using anything else and I have been recommending this product to others I know with skin issues.
