I use this filter on all three of my Craftsman riding mowers (LT1000, YT-4000, and CTX-9500). I love the fact that they actually have a clear plastic body so I can always watch the fuel flow and easily determine if any contaminants are in the fuel tank. Great inexpensive preventive maintenance item for your lawn mowing investment! Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you!

This is a good OEM replacment filter and not a copy. Comes with all you need to replace. Keep in mind that the inlet side of the hose attachment to the fuel filter is gravity fed and will run out gas in the change unless you drain the fuel tank.

This review is for Briggs & Stratton 695666 Extended Life Series Fuel Filter 30 Micron For Selected Engines with Fuel Pump.

This filter was an exact replacement for my Briggs and Stratton 24 horsepower engine on a Craftsman YTD 3000. It functions just as well as the original did when it was new. After an entire season of mowing, it is still working properly. Installation was simple. A tip though, if you run your mower out of gas, there will be less of a mess, and you will waste less fuel. This is the same filter sold at Sears, but for a significantly discounted price.

This 695666 fuel filter is the exact Briggs & Stratton OEM part, identical to the original specified in the manufacturer's parts catalog. To prevent fuel from running out while you are changing it, just pull the hose out of its retaining clip and lift the hose and filter above the level of the fuel in the tank. Changing it when there is little fuel in the tank will make that easier if there is not much slack in your hose.

Had our Sears Craftsman tractor tuned up, but it still wouldn't start. Ordered this replacement fuel filter, drained out the old gas from last season (my bad, leaving it in --in Texas, winters can vary a lot and we are never quite sure when the mowing season is REALLY over, so we left the gas in from early November till March). Ordered this replacement filter (faster delivery and cheaper than Sears website), installed it along with fresh gas and it works like a charm now. I'm ordering another for next season as owner's manual recommends yearly replacement.

This replacement filter works well, fit without modification and seems to be doing the job it was intended to do. Hard to really rate a fuel filter and the construction isn't the same as the original, but after all - it is a disposable item that requires replacement for proper maintenance of my lawn tractor.
