I don't think there is anything that does the job quite as well and for as cheap as these reed holders. While not made for the absolute professional in mind, which is a good thing, these are great for students to keep their reeds in great shape. And they will last a long time!!!

This product and the Rico Reed Gard IV, Tenor/Baritone Sax work as well for me as any of the more expensive reed cases. They hold the reeds securely and keep them flat. Once in a rare while, you may need to take care not to allow a very thin tip to protrude. If you have a whole box of reeds, the Reed Gard IV is a better choice. For carrying just two primo reeds on stage, the Reed Gard II is a more convenient, pocket-sized choice.

Nothing to it but two solid double-sided reed holders. Rico sends their reeds with disposable holders anyway, but it's good to have these handy.
