This seems to be a great product for the price. I purchased this product to increase hand/ forearm strength for shooting a sub-compact pistol and it has been a great benefit as recoil and trigger squeeze control has been perceived, and firearm manipulation has seemed to benefit greatly.
The only nit-pik is the build quality. This model is made of plastic and while it still functions as it did when I bought it, it has become noticeably noisier. As stated, this is me looking for something bad to say, but in fairness, for the price, it is well worth the money spent.

Prepare to have your wrist wriggled out of your arm. This really works for strengthening muscles, and everyone in my family was pleasantly surprised by how well it works once it gets going. Only downside we've had is that the string, if pulled just wrong, will get badly tangled in the mechanisms, and its only by miracles that we've gotten it untangled. Will work on perfecting stringless starts when possible, since some family members keep goofing with the string starts.

Not sure if I should classify that as a problem with the gizmo though, since I can't thin of anything they could do to prevent that possibility. You just have to be careful when starting it.

The only suggestion I have is that the makers include a "finger-grip" band that can fit snuggly around the gyro so that it can be held firmly in a "finger-tip" grip. I play the guitar and use the gyro to strengthen my "fretting" hand.

This was great when I first got it. After a couple months of use it's starting to get loose inside, and it makes quite a bit of noise. I use it at work to keep my wrists from getting carpal tunnel, but with the excess noise it upsets my cubicle neighbors.

I have since switched to Grip Master Prohands instead as they don't make any noise. A different type of hand exerciser, but quiet.

First of all, id just like to say that anyone who gives this product a bad review is a stunad and clearly impatient and can't read SIMPLE directions. (Any brand or version of this mechanism would undoubtedly work great btw since theyre all made the same. I just chose the cheapest I could find) When mine arrived, I had no problem whatsoever starting it up. It's a very simple concept a child can understand. It amazes me that people cant get it to work. Basically it works in the same way the world rotates daily. I have bad wrists (along with fingers)and I play guitar like a lot of people that buy this product, and it is HIGHLY affective in working those muscles. You will notice change immediately in your muscle response. This along with the finger exerciser has definitely helped a WHOLE LOT in my strum/finger placement coordination. (My hands are really bad) my movement is very limited and this has helped me gain some agility back. The only thing you might wanna consider is which version of this product you buy (as I have gotten my rip cord stuck numerous times). Just don't spend double the money on the base! It is completely unnecessary! The pull back (or wind up) one would probably be good for people that have the same problem as I. One of the plastic ends of my rip cord has already ripped off! Just don't be so rough on it though and you shouldn't have this problem.
