I rue the day I ever brought this home. My cat, however, thinks it's the best toy ever created. There are those who say I spoil my cat; it's not true, but I will admit that she does have a steady stream of little gifts arriving in the mail. However, none of her toys has the captivating power of this squirrel.

Is it small for the price? Yes. Does it sound anything remotely like a squirrel? Nope. Do these facts bother my cat one bit? Hardly.

I've read reviews of people saying the squeaker died after a while. Oh, how I long for that day! For months, all I've heard is squeakSQUEAKsqueak. Squeak. *skitter*skitter*skitter* SQUEAK!

I'm looking at the sales photo for this squirrel and it amazes me how pristine and soft it looks compared to the battle-scarred tribble that remains. I can't imagine it has much catnip smell left, but she still loves it.

This was a gift for my sister's cat's. She told me that her cats chased each other
trying to get the toy. I sent another same brand but different type so each would
have one but they each wanted both. I would say that this toy was a big hit!

My Bengal kitten is in love with this toy. I have never seen him so wrapped up in a toy and it sounds just like a baby mouse. My dogs were also interested in this toy but it obviously would not stand up to dog play. Highly recommend .

Just got this toy and my cats are going crazy over it. Sounds like an electronic mouse. They're stealing it from each other. I have no idea how long it will last but it is definitely worth the money so far just to get them playing with something.

I have purchased numerous of these types of squeek toys for my cat from the local pet store, but they aren't carrying them any longer. So I purchased this one from Amazon. It is about half the size of the old toys as you can see by the photo I included. Hopefully it will stay working. The old ones worked for years.

I would not recommend this product for 2 reasons. First, my cats were just not impressed by this toy. They swatted it around a bit, but when it didn't do anything other than make noise every once in a while, they were uninterested. They prefer the string and wire bouncing toys.
Second (and more importantly), the little sound piece fell out of the bird's back and is a total choking hazard! The sound piece is not sewn in or anything, so it is very easy for it to fall out. I don't know about anyone else, but basically anything my cats should not be chewing on or putting into their mouths, they do. As a result, I will not be buying any other of the rodent variations of this toy in the future!

If you love your cat, buy her this. I ordered this as a gift for a friend's cat, but when I took it out of the box and put in on a table (still in its packaging), my cat immediately discovered it. She would not take no for an answer. She was carrying it around, packaging and all, in her mouth. Finally, I gave in and opened it for her. She spent the next hour playing with it non-stop. This happened on the same day that I got her a kitty sill, usually a big cat favorite. Two thumbs way up!
