I have several of these jars in muliple sizes and I use them to store dry goods in my pantry. The seals are tight fitting and the glass is heavy--sturdy. Since they are clear glass, I can see at a glance when my supply is getting low. When I have the need for more heavy glass jars, I will order these.

I getting away from using plastic with BPA. I have switched from plastics to jars or stainless steel. I use the Bormioli Rocco Glass canning jar for my daily coffee. Very good quality and seal good. It's worth the money. I went to my local store and purchased canning jars (wide mouth) and now they carry plastic white plastic lids (PBA free).

I have been using these jars as holders for my flour, sugar, oatmeal,... pretty much most foods you keep available and don't want in the packaging they come in. I like the look of them, but mostly I like the quality. They are a heavy glass with a well made closure. They were made to last and come in various sizes so you can usually open a bag of sugar and dump it right in. I have been very happy with this brand.
