This is a great collar for our 75 lb German Shephard/Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix. It has a stylish look to it, but it also comfortable. I have never caught the dog scratching or appearing irritated. I bought this with the matching leash that was also a great buy.

This is a beautiful, classy looking collar that is quality made. I purchased it with the matching leash. I do wish there were some pre-sewn holes for the buckle, rather you have to insert the buckle through the fabric weaving. On the other hand, this makes the collar very adjustable for just about any neck size. I've had it about a month and so far, it has worn and held up well. I get many compliments whenever my dog and I are on walks.

My first reaction is that it did not have the pre-existing holes for the buckle to go through, and that it was difficult to push through the braid to make a hole if the dog was struggling--new dog, always a struggle! I like the color, I think the nylon braid will be strong enough to hold up to my kooky struggling hound, but he has already discovered that the collar is stretchy and he can back out of it even with his honkin' big ears, and even if I buckle it kind of tight.

Next time I think I will go back to a plastic pinch buckle: no holes to fuss with, it always goes on at the same length, and there is no tail end sticking out for him to discover and chew on.

Update: Very difficult to push a hole through now that the collar is older. The braided material is completely stretched and tight. If you leave the collar on your dog all the time, it should be fine, but if you take it on and off a lot like I do, it is very difficult to work with. Also, the braided material is like a magnet for the burdock burrs that we have everywhere on our property. Going for the flat nylon buckle collar next time around...

I really like the fact that this collar is both totally adjustable, sturdy and believe it will meet all of his needs. I like the flat weave and the secure buckle. It seems soft and comfortable. Since there are no holes in the collar the buckle can be fastened at any point. The belt's end is leather for protection from chewing. The loop easily holds his tags. And the blue is as shown, very handsome for my dog. He has not yet tried to pull it off, a problem with other snap on type collars.

I was terribly disappointed with these collars. Within 5 minutes of putting them on my dogs, they became snagged. As we all know, dogs like to scratch themselves. The collars just don't stand up to dog toenails.

I have 2 large dogs, and the plastice clasps on the other collar never last. I liked this one for the color and the durability. It has been through a number of washes and plenty of walks. Looking forward to buying one for our female.

I wish I had found this collar when I first got my dog. Super high quality overall. The webbing allows for perfect fit for different situations. I also love the color combos, I got camo with a matching leash and it looks amazing on my Fawn Boxer mix. Both leash and collar have equestrian quality hardware, at first I didn't think I would like the brass color, but it is so much richer! It's obvious at first glance that these "ain't no" Petco collars (no offense). Look no further....I can't wait to pick out my next combo!

This is a beautiful collar and it's well made. We got the Hunter Green M 18" for our Boston Terrier. For his neck size, the length is too short because the end doesn't tuck into the brass loop. Also, the width may be a little too big for our little guy. I think we'll keep it for now, but won't replace it with this size. As other reviewers have written, I think this width would better suit a bigger dog, but not with an 18" length. I hope that Mendota comes out with a slightly longer and thinner width model for Boston Terriers and the like. Shipping was fast.

It's a nicely braided collar, but my dog's nails catch the loops in the braids and fray the collar when she scratches. To keep it looking nice you have to cut those off often
