Pros: You probably already know why this is a good deal. 200g of paste for less than 10 cents/gram. That reminds me of that Mitch Hedberg joke selling single cans of pop on the street.

Anywho, this stuff is much less irritating to remove and reapply than the thicker goopy Arctic Silver 5 stuff, which yeah it works great but I don't care for how difficult that stuff can be to get off a CPU. Ice Fusion never seems to dry out on me, even if I leave the can open.

As long as the heatsink sits flat against the processor and no air gaps, you're good to go with this stuff.

Cons: Since its not in syringe form, I'm the kind of weirdo that uses scrap cardboard fashioned into an applicator.

Kind of how Haagen-Dazs can put spoons into the lid of a cup of icey cream, the same idea would work really well for thermal paste. Just don't try to spread it on your bagels in the morning unless you care to taste liquid metallic ceramic

Other Thoughts: One 200 gram tub at work in an RMA lab, at least 3-4 video card fansink applications per day for the last 2 years. Yeah, once you get to the very bottom of the tub its time to reorder.

I got tired of those small containers. I always seemed to not have any when i needed it. I often replace the paste when I feel like the heat is a bit too high, (i have about 6 computers for different uses and am always building one for a friend)just to eliminate the issue. This is a nice container full at the right price. I recently built an 1100T with a water cooler and used this paste. It idles at 27deg and never gets over 39deg. so, I'm pretty happy with the results.

I purchased the 40G size - it is sufficient I expect for dozens of computers. Some reviewers talk about the viscosity of the product; it has worked fine for me, and the package includes a spreader tool. This compound is basically OEM quality; the same as what comes with your CPU - and thermal measurements confirm it.

I have not yet used it, just received the package and tested it out hence my rating of 3 and will change it after use. However, I wish to note the following:
1. Contrary to what many have posted talking about how fluid the paste is, surprise surprise, it's not. I was expecting something gooey, but it's the same thickness as the actic silver I usually purchase in the syringes.
2. I did not receive the little palette some talk about. I've tested applying it onto an old processor using the tip of a plastic knife and it DOES NOT run like many claim on here.

Update:

I have used it on both a desktop computer processor and a laptop. You have to be a tad more careful when applying to the laptop chip. Be sure to have steady hands before you smear all over, it's the same when using any of the 'top' brands as well. It's easy as ABC with a desktop processor. Frankly, I don't see the buzz by some of the persons that it runs like liquid. I'm yet to see that happen. Hence my upgrade to 4 stars. Would be nice if the palette that is claimed to come with it would have arrived. It's even better when you use a syringe to be more precise.

This is the best deal I've seen for thermal paste.
40g is more than enough, but I don't want to keep having to buy new tubes.

The applicator is pretty good, the thermal paste seems to be working well. I just installed it in my server and temps are constant (57c idle, but then again it's a P4)

I'd recommend this product, definitely the most you're gonna get for your money (unless you get the 200g bottle)

I ordered this along with Artic Silver 5 Thermal compound. With the intention that this will be used on "Not so important" CPU/GPU and as practice before I use the Artic Silver 5.

Pros:
-200 gram tub is a LOT. I overestimated my project and only needed roughly 3 bb beads size. So i have roughly 199.99% left over AFTER applying the thermal compound to over 4 CPU + GPUs. I bought waaay to much.
-After unscrewing the cap, there is a inner cap that is inverted inwards and you pull it to pop off. Also reusable by simply popping it back in.

Cons:
-Does not come with a Scoop or application tool. I had to use toothpicks/ makeshift credit cards for application.
-The inner cap is completely covered in thermal paste (on the inside), SO I spent some time wiping away the excess to not get myself dirty the next time I use the paste. Most likely due to the tumbling of the 200Gram tub while on transit.

Final THoughts:
-Thermal Compound is almost as good as Artic Silver. But for gram/cost is a lot cheaper and you can afford to waste/practice applying thermal compound without worrying about wasting the goop.

Highly recommend this, don't see how it can get bad, just keep away from UV light and heat as well as sunlight. I now use this compound for any electronics I don't care too much about but requires a good repasting. I save the precious 3.5grams of Artic Silver for my Gaming Laptops and Gaming Rigs that depend on a much higher quality thermal compound.
