My review might be embarrassing but I hope I help someone. I am writing this roughly 2 years after I used the product and only though I do so because I found some dig adv ibs pills in the bottom of my vitamin box.

The minute I used to wake up, I had to run to the toilet with diarrhea. If I didn't feel complete, anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours later... I had to run to the toilet all over again.

If I waked up real early to the point that I was barely awake (like going to my college classes), the minute I "woke up" ... I had to run to the toilet. Work was the same deal. There was no hiding from this.

Whenever I had these urges, I used to have the most horrible hot flashes (I am a dude, btw). Just writing this, I am having memories of what I had to deal through. I had to deal with three things... depression, anxiety and ibs. I used to think that all three were linked and it would be a long time before I was to tackle any of them.

I used to fall into panic mode when I saw a class that was only available in the mornings or if I was scheduled to work in the morning. I was already depressed, anxious and this was something that made me basically hate myself. I always avoiding anything before 12 noon.

I dealt with this for almost 8 years. One day... I went onto google and typed something like "diarrhea every morning" and the ibs support website was one of the first links. In it, people described the same issues of me. Here I was thinking I was all alone, knowing now that there were people suffering the same way. I don't know how it occured but I think I read someone posting about their experience with dig adv ibs pills and mentioned that "it sorta helped.Read more ›

I've had the gamut of gas, bloating, irregular bowel habits & have been to a digestive specialist for several years with no help at all. He ordered a medication that made me sick as could be...so I stopped that. On top of IBS, I have recurring kidney stones & between the two problems, I had times of such pain I would be bent almost double. When I went places, I had to take a handful of the strong Mylanta Gas tablets just in case...used them often to feel some better.

Then 2 months ago, a friend told me of this product & how it had helped her. I got some & WOW...what a difference in my life now!! One tiny pill each morning before breakfast & I'm off to a productive day with NO discomfort!! I can hardly believe this medication can make this difference. I continue to watch what I eat which I think is an essential part of handling IBS. Most of us who have this problem have sensitive stomachs & should avoid trigger foods (onions in any form are usually one of the culprits, for instance). As an R.N. I know that food allergies can also be triggers so I would hope any IBS sufferers would avoid any foods they might suspect...it's not worth it! These caplets work so completely for me in that I can now eat without any discomfort. It's a whole new life for me now & believe me, I'm keeping a supply of this medication on hand, always!

December 2014 ADDENDUM...sorry...had to post a star preference tho I've not used this changed OTC medication (it is NOT the original Digestive Advantage). Fortunately I've kept a good supply on hand of the original med as this formula was sold to another company (Schiff) who in turn obviously changed the formulation. I have not purchased any from them so I cannot tell you if they are effective at all.Read more ›

I have been taking The Digestive intensive bowel support for the past year and it gave me my life back. It was a miracle. An absolute miracle. It worked where dozens of other products failed to help. In fact this was the only probiotic that worked. I could go out. I had a life. How amazing is that? Last week I placed my order as normal from the same company I have been ordering for the past year. Not from Amazon US though as they don't deliver to my address. Never crossed my mind to check the label. Why would I? The schiff website had the normal label and so did this company. Unfortunately, I took these capsules for a few days and I had a terrible allergic reaction. I am Celiac and I am still ill after a week. The reaction I had was similar to what I used to have with gluten in the past. I just didn't have a clue into why. A few days back I have decided to look into the box of this Digestive advantage and my god, I could not believe it. I saw that "Contains wheat and soy" warning on the label. Also some enzymes I always reacted bad in the past are replacing Lysine, which is an essential amino acid absolutely necessary for human health, but the body can't manufacture it. As for enzymes they should be separate from probiotics anyway. We should be able to choose. Enzymes should not be taken all the time, but Lysine should. I have celiac disease, so I just did myself more harm than good. They have changed the hole formula, from something amazing to something that can harm so many people. What is wrong with this people. No warning on their website or other websites? How can they call improved to something full of allergens? It was working for hundreds of people why change? Why change without warning. It's our lives we are talking about. What about people like me?Read more ›
