I wanted something to use in a small firepit on our porch and wood and propane were out of the question. I started to do some research and found this gel fuel log set and since the price was the best I had seen and they fit the bill, I ordered them. They are great. I even used them in the indoor fireplace insert one night when there was a storm and the power was out for several hours. It gave off a wonderful light and warmed up the living room, and the fuel cans lasted close to three hours.

Love it. Had it going for the first time on a cold Arizona Saturday evening. We sat outside with our after dinner coffee and the ambiance was great, looked like a real fire going. We have it in our chimchimeny, and the heat that came from the top even warmed our space a bit.

Real flame makes a number of fire pits and fireplaces. Was looking through the catalog and saw this and thought how nice it would be to have it on my deck at my camper /RV. I was already familiar with the real flame fireplaces I have two. The quality of this fire pit is very well made and realistic looking. This unit uses 2 gel cans which produces a very pretty flame & some heat. Placed this on our sun deck on a table. Very enjoyable & the gel cans last about three hours. I Consider this perfect for an evening sitting outside on the deck. No smoke makes it even better. Highly recommend for the enjoyment of sitting by a fire and enjoying the evening. Is very easy to extinguish, & store. I believe that you'll enjoy this.

We love this "real" looking fire pit and using the canisters that look and sound just like real fire has worked out great. There is no mess, nothing to clean up and we can light and put it out whenever we want. We placed these logs in a fire chimney that's on our deck around our patio furniture and under our gazebo - it's just the right amount of flame and light. You can use 2 cans or all 4 for a brighter look. We just love it!!

I was given a beautifully tiled outdoor fire-table that was really just too nice to ruin with real burning logs. I had a piece of wood cut for the center, and have been using it inside the apartment as a coffee table. I found this log set on Amazon and wondered if it would work safely indoors. I took the chance, and I am thrilled to finally see this functional work of art glow.

There are no fumes to harm my bird or cat, and I get to enjoy all of the benefits of a cozy, crackling fire all winter. The 2-can log set works perfectly for indoors. I can turn down the thermostat, close off unused rooms, and stay very warm. I am so ready if we have another ice storm and the power goes out for days, again. I bet I could find a way to heat water and roast hot dogs with it if I really had to.

Get plenty of fuel when you order the logs. You will use it, often.

bought this to go in chimnea on patio. didn't want to burn wood because of drought concerns and flying ash didn't seem like a good idea. fits perfectly in chimnea along with the gel fuel cans. Put some lava rocks around inside and it's perfect ambiance for the back patio & safe

Looks great and made a nice addition to our patio. Very solid / heavy construction, should last forever. Use the Real Flame cans instead of other brands though, they work much better and actually generate a little heat for chilly evenings, but don't count on it as a heat source.

This unique and excellent alternative to having a real wood fire is as good or better than expected.
We have strict burning bans, (not to mention an uptight fireman's wife as a neighbor) so even the smallest wood burning fire in the back yard draws unwanted attention.
This is a clean, attractive solution to enjoying a night out on the deck.
No smoke in your eyes, no sparks, no clean up, no worries your house (or your stuck up neighbors house) will catch fire, its all good...
The only reason it didn't get five stars is because of the lava rock supplied is very small, grainy and dusty, more mess than its worth especially if you want to remove the log set from your fire pit.
We're replacing with some nice large polished rock.
