I was in a hurry when I ordered these labels. Thought I was ordering the longer, flat index tabs. These are the other tabs in the picture - the smaller, rounded tabs. I now see a better description in the Questions/Answers section and should have read that before I ordered. I would suggest that the picture on this page show only the rounded tabs actually being sold. I'll upload a picture of the rounded tabs I received.

I'll use these rounded tabs for other projects I have in mind. So it's not a loss. Tabs appear to of good quality, heavy enough for my needs.

If you are looking for the longer, flat tabs, I think you might need these: Redi-Tag Write-On Removable Index Tabs, 2 x 11/16 Inches, 48 Tabs per Pack, 4 Assorted Colors (33248) I added them to my Wish List for my next order.

I bought these for an academic book type calendar to keep track of my daughter's school year. The calendar is perfect except for the tabs that were built in to last year's calendar aren't on this one. It's the same brand I had the last 2 years (Mead), but I bought this one on Amazon and failed to check the product's photos, which is my fault. $2 was an easy fix for an otherwise fine product.

Nice, durable tabs. However, they stick pretty well onto the page...so well in fact that your paper may rip if you don't remove the tab carefully. Would not recommend using these tabs on books/paper that you want to keep nicely, such as textbooks.

I purchased these to mark sections in my textbooks for nursing school. I usually go through and mark each of textbooks with the divider tabs and write whatever disease/condition that page corresponds to on the divider tab for quick easy access to the info when I am studying. After each exam I remove the divider tabs, so I can mark the textbooks with new diseases for the next exam. NOT a good idea to use this method with these particular tabs--they do not peel off easily--they ripped and tore each and every page I had marked no matter how slowly or gently I tried to remove them. Good product if you do not plan on removing the tabs once you used them, but they were not what I was looking for.

I like how bright these are) They are harder plastic than the post-it flags but not as stiff as the post-it tabs. You do have to be careful because it WILL RIP YOUR PAPER when taking them off if you are not VERY careful and remove them SLOWLY (I took off one star for that. If you are going to tab something and leave them forever these are probably great! If only temporary they are still good but you will have to be careful removing them and even being careful you will likely still tear at least one page.
I like that these do not extend as far onto the page (as the post-its do) with the clear part which was always a bit of pain for highlighting over them or moving the flags to write on the page.

Bought these to tab some school texts and an APA manual. They are very durable and large enough to write headings or titles on. As some other reviewers have mentioned, you can use pens or sharpie markers to write on the top side of the tabs. This side contains a matte finish that lends itself well to both types of writing device. The bottom side is a glossy finish, so only a sharpie marker or equivalent will work there. The only disadvantage I had when using these tabs was that they didn't seem to stay put on the books I transported around frequently in my bags. The tabs on the traveling books would manage to slide up inside the pages and get lost. Not sure how this happened. I would expect them to come off in the bag and get lost. I had to thumb through the book and look for the missing tabs which had migrated to various locations more towards the inside of the page and move them so they stuck back outside of the book. For the books that didn't go anywhere that just resided on my desk or bookshelf, the tabs worked perfectly.

I got these to be more organized at work, and I liked them so much that I had to get some for home too. I even have the kids using them with their work as well. They are way better than Post it notes, because post it noted only have 2 modes- either super sticky that they rip the paper when you try to more them to something else, or not sticky enough and you try to move them and they fall off. The writing feature is easy and the writing is easily visible.
I am so organized and cute at the same time!

This was confusing to me- but! I read all the previous questions...and figured it out. You're buying the tabs that are on the loose leaf paper. NOT the tabs that are the size of binder dividers. 5 stars if the picture was less confusing ;)
