This is a very great tool for correct writing habits.. but it is hard to get my son to use it. Like most kids .. he doesn't see anything wrong with the way he holds his pencil. But when he uses this .. his writing is so much more neater.

Great purchased, I purchased this product because I needed something to keep my fingers from getting sore. I keep a journal and was having trouble with the side of my finger getting callous on it. I was looking for something that I can be able to adjust from a pencil to pen. I just purchased the wrong product.

I bought these based on the recommendation of a teacher, and these have been very useful to get our kids to hold and pencil correctly. You wouldn't think it would be so difficult, but our kids have developed unorthodox ways to hold pencils and this tool forces them to hold it correctly. I would buy these again.

I've tried using this pencil grip claw and still my pointer finger wants to curl under and it is causing my forearm and elbow to hurt. I can't get used to the claw but can see it will work for others. I'm still trying very hard.

My son's pencil grip isn't quite right yet (he's 5); we tried the grotto grip first, but it didn't help him. I really didn't think the claw style looked like it would work and initially he had a tough time figuring out how to adjust & use it, but within a few minutes he got the hang of it, loves it & his grip & handwriting is improved. He calls it the 'claw of power' (spoof on Toy Store).
