works great, smells great!

Well, the other reviewer must be WAY hypersensitive because this product does NOT hit me anywhere between the eyes no matter how much I put on or how much it 'warms up'. I agree, the company should not claim it is fragrance free, however the scent is SO SO mild. The scent from peeling an orange is much stronger than this. I would hate for anyone to choose not to purchase this product because of that review. I am sensitive to fragrance myself (it gives me a headache) and this product actually gives me a refreshed feeling. It is scented with essential oil, which doesn't 'normally' cause reactions like artificial fragrance does.

It also moisturizes quite well, unlike a lot of other lip sunscreens on the market. I haven't had chapped lips since using this product, even with being out in the sun quite a bit.

All in all, great product! I'm excited to have finally found a natural lip sunscreen that works well.

Great lip balm & made in the USA

I'm allergic to a lot of lip balms, but I've had no problems with this one, and it works well. I first found it in a local sports store, but the owners retired and I had to go looking for another source. Amazon to the rescue. It's pricy for lip balm, but well worth it if you need a good product that works and you can't use just any old brand off the store shelf. It has a light citrus-y fragrance when you first put it on, but that scent disappears quickly. Also, and important to me, it's made in the USA. I highly recommend this product.

feels good on the lips BUT...

This seemed to be a nice product but my baby is allergic to some ingredient in it. The very first time I wore it my baby developed welts and raised red patches that looked like bee stings where the lip balm made contact with the baby's skin. Next day, we had a regularly scheduled appointment with the pediatrician who chalked up the skin reaction to an allergy. Needless to say, I no longer use Beyond Coastal, but it might be fine for you. It's rated well on ewg.org

Won't be buying this again

I bought this because the Purple Prairie SunStuff SPF 30 was out of stock. I won't be getting it again. After ten minutes it didn't feel as though the lip balm was even still on. If I were just going to sit in the park I suppose this would be fine, but I'm either riding my road bike or on a dive boat, so I need something with more staying power.

I am on my third tube of this lip balm. It feels great on, and I love the taste. But the best part is how long it stays on my lips. When I used other well-known lip balms in the past, I was constantly reapplying. Not necessary with Beyond Coastal. I recommend it and feel sure you will be delighted!
