Decent quality sleeve for a cheap price

I recently got rid of my CD cases and put the discs into sleeves to save space in my home. I purchased the Yellow, Green and Blue colored sleeves for variety.

The green is slightly lighter in color than what the picture shows you. Quality is about average for what you'd expect from this product, it does a more than decent job holding and protecting your media although there are definitely higher quality sleeves available.

I did have a problem in that the perforated tab in the middle where the hole of the CD sits when inserted in the sleeve weren't cut very well on about 1 in 10 sleeves meaning you couldn't tear out that part without damaging the whole front of the sleeve. The yellow and blue sleeves didn't have that problem as they had all the perforated plastic parts already removed.

I got 100 double sided sleevs.

I ordered thinking I was getting 50 double sided (making 100) CD holders. Now I have way too many. IDK what the other reviewers are talking about only getting 50. Good quality, good price just what you need to keep your CD's and DVD's safe.

these are the exact color as seen on my screen, and are exactly what I was expecting. you did have to remove the plastic from the holes, but they were already cut so it was not at all difficult. look very nice.

Inconsistent quality amongst several purchases

I've bought several packs of these 'Double-Sided Plastic Sleeves', all from the same manufacturer and seller. The quality is very inconsistent - Sometimes I get really nice, thick plastic sleeves with the pieces already punched out, sometimes I get nice heavy quality with the plastic pieces not punched out yet, and other times I get extremely thin, cheap sleeves that ruffle up and will not hold their shape once used for more than a week.

For this reason I am not sure I will be purchasing again. While they are cheap, I don't like that I don't have any idea what I'm going to get. Here is what I've see so far, for buyers that are still interested:

-Blue: Have purchased 3 units of 100 - All were the good, heavy-duty quality but with the plastic cutouts not punched out yet. Took some work on my part, but I'd rate these probably 4.5/5 (price considered)
-Black: Have purchased 3 units of 100 but all in same transaction. These are thin, cheap, but do not require that I punch out the plastic slits. These are so thin, that if I rubber-band a set of 4 together (with 8 discs) they ruffle up, and if I put them in a bag, they come out like paper. They're almost unusable. I'd rate these ones probably at 1/5.
-Pink: I've only ordered one set of 100, but these have been the best so far. I think they're just as thick/heavy duty as the blue I got, but already have the slits punched out! Too bad I don't want all of my sleeves to be pink..
-White: Same as blue - Decent quality, require punchouts.

I've noticed that the sleeves with the ring-punchouts at the top (so you could put them in a binder) are of the lowest quality, even though these are not pictured in the item you buy. I'd avoid these if you have any way of doing so, unless you absolutely plan to put them in a binder - But if that's the case I'd look for a different product, as these will get roughed up if they bang around.

Excellent storage capacity, but you must remove plastic pieces (Avoid the pink ones)

I am a rabid collector of discs, and a music reviewer, and use these to replace standard jewel boxes in order to save space when feasible.

In the past I had sworn by Case Logic sleeves, but then they began to make their sleeves with smaller dimensions which made it impossible to insert even a single disc, even without any inserts, without the plastic sleeve buckling or bulging. I switched to Staples own brand, but then their prices became prohibitive.

These sleeves are my current go-to.

Although they appear to be from the same manufacturer as the other colors, the pink-colored sleeves have an extra crimp pressed into the lateral sides which prevent the CD, booklet and tray-card from fitting in. This has not been so with the white, green, blue, yellow, black or purple sleeves I have bought, and which easily hold a disc, tray-card and up to a moderately-thick booklet.

Do note that for all colors of these sleeves, the die-cut circular ovals in the center (you can see these in the photo) as well as the thin plastic strip on the top edge below, are not removed; you must peel them off by hand, four pieces per sleeve. I do this mindlessly while watching teevee, but it can be a severe annoyance to some.

Open easily and double sided sleeves work great for sets

I'm using these to help downsize on space dvds and blu rays are taking up. Open easily and double sided sleeves work great for sets. Corners and sides are well made and stronger than others I have used, helping to reduce having to replace them because they fell apart.

These are great. They are way better than the first dvd sleeves i bought on amazon. Not that they were bad, but they were thinner & I had to punch out the plastic myself, & a lot of them would rip at the center. But, these are already punched out, and they are thicker, and double sided. Perfect!!!! I hope they keep selling these, because I love them!

Do you ever need a sleeve to protect a valuable CD or DVD? If not, you're a unique person. These sleeves work great when swapping out disks in a player; pull one out, put it in the sleeve.
