So I spent 17 days in the Amazon jungles of Ecuador and of course, there are no toilets, no houses, no electricity, no showers, and again NO TOILETS!! So there was the jungle... and banana leaves. No joke. I bought 2 packs for a total of 4 rolls and they were life savers!!! I should of bought more though because the sheets are really really thin so you have to get a bunch so that it won't rip. They're really compact so if you're going for a long trip such as I did, I suggest buying around 4 packs for yourself to have a nice clean booty!

I've been riding this around in my car in my backpack for ages like I'm actually going to go camping with it. More likely, I'm going to be driving around drunk people. As it happens, i was doing such when this girl needed me to pull over abruptly. Luckily, we had the coghlan's at hand to do damage control afterwards. Let's not understate the handiness of having toilet paper in your car.

Convenient and backpack size. If you have access to a vacuum bagger (i.e. "Food Saver") you can compress a new standard roll of TP into a compact size, especially the new rolls that do not have cardboard cores. For the price you don't get a lot of paper... you are paying the price of a 12 to 16 roll pack for two 1/4 size rolls. It is a matter of convenience and if you are willing to pay the price this is a great product for backpackers or campers where space is very limited, but I can't imagine not having room for a full roll when camping.

and you should be conscious towards the environment when camping to purchase biodegradable products.

I also recommend a good lightweight trowel.

I got these for a 2.5 week camping trip in the jungle. I ordered 4 packs of 2 and had 2 left over at the end. I'd rather have extra than not enough! They are thin so you use more than you should, but I needed biodegradable TP and these did the job. I'd use them again if needed.

It's toilet paper, what's not to like? I love the convenient little baggie in which the rolls are contained. But you can have the same bit of kit with some tissue from your bathroom and a Ziploc...just saying.
