The only possible complaint I have is that it's very hard to see a difference between the left and right shoe trees.

    I have cedar shoe trees in all of my work/dress shoes. Shoe trees serve several purposes. The wood helps to absorb moisture from perspiration that can sit in the shoe and rot the leather. The cedar imparts a pleasant smell and helps keep the shoes smelling fresh. The spring-loaded shape keeps the shoes stretched so they do not wrinkle and bend. Anybody who has had a nice pair of shoes has likely seen that the wrinkles caused by daily wear tend to set, especially if you get the shoes wet. After awhile, this makes the shoes look old and worn.

    With everybody looking to save money these days, what better way than to keep your shoes looking their best as long as possible? I have shoe trees from the high-end department stores and shoe companies (you know the names), all of which cost about $30. When I was last in a high-end department store's "discount rack", I saw a less expensive cedar shoe tree that was about $20, but the wood was rough and the quality did not seem that good.

    These FootFitter trees are as good as the finest cedar trees I have seen in stores, but only cost $20. They feature a full heel (many less expensive trees only have a partial heel), slot to grip and easily remove the shoe, and a split toe so it fully expands inside the shoe. They smell amazing, and I immediately put them into my nice work loafers to replace my older trees. You can't go wrong with these!

    I love the smell of cedar shoe trees, it smells like...organization.

    OK, I have shoes that are older than my kids and my kids are working adults. I take care of my stuff, shoe trees a must.

    These are well made, but there is one flaw. The Men's Size 8-9 1/2 is a bit of misnomer. Like shoes, some sizes run small, some run large. This one runs large. I could barely squeeze them into a new pair of shoes and instead had to trade them out, using these in an older pair of loafers.

    Agaim, well-made, great cedar smell, delivered lightning fast.

    Perfectly fit. I wear a size standard size 10 in most brand's lasts. Been using one in a pair for about 4 months and it fixed a messed up heel that was a result of me getting them wet and not properly drying them ( I know, I know). Not sure how much they could correct deformity issue, but they fill a substantial portion of the shoe, so there is equal pressure on all the main areas.

    This is a good shoe tree. It has a larger front part, which stretches out the vamp (the top part of the front of the shoe) much better than the inexpensive shoe trees that I purchased from a men's clothing store in Arizona. The rear part of the shoe tree is about the width of a heel, so it stretches out the rear of the shoe better as well.

    This is a good value for a product that could easily cost a lot more. The only possible complaint I have is that it's very hard to see a difference between the left and right shoe trees. They should be different and it's very hard to tell. More differentiation would be helpful. Otherwise a great product (and I recommend it despite this tiny complaint).

    My shoes were just a bit tight-fitting when I bought them, so I just stored them with these inside. Not only do my shoes fit perfectly now, these shoe trees are great at absorbing odors, so my new shoes don't smell at all either.

    They're shoe trees, what can I say? They work. They do their job.

    I've had to sand them a little bit already to revitalize the cedar (and hence the moisture/smell-wicking and abilities), but other than that they're low maintenance.
