I like these little guys--they come in very handy when you have limited space in your purse, or if you want to be discreet when walking to the restroom at work, but they still provide the same amount of protection that you get with tampons that have a standard applicator.

The downside is that the wrappers are very crinkly, and it's difficult to put the applicator back in before throwing it out if you want to be discreet. Also, the braided leak catcher that they have on the tampax pearls has now turned into a slightly different animal. Instead of a nice little braid, the leak guard almost fans out from the center, like a blossoming flower. Personally, I find it strange, and half feel like the whole thing is going to come out, when it's actually just the leak guard I'm feeling.

On the whole, I like them as a back-up to my normal tampons, and I feel that with a little getting used to, they'll become my mainstay.

Huge fan of the Tampax Pearl line... but these Compak ones are different. However they manufacture/package the tampon in the applicator is not as comfortable to insert as the regular Pearl tampons, and with a light flow, they're a little uncomfortable when removing. I also noticed that small cotton pieces would actually SHED off the tampon, resulting in... well, tiny balls of cotton comin' outta mah bits later on. Kinda gross. Overall, convenient but unnecessary. Stick to the regular Tampax Pearl tampons.

I am actually not too much of a fan of these. I thought having the smaller sized applicator would be awesome, but it is actually pretty unstable. The pushing part of the applicator is stored inside the main part, and when you are ready to use it you pull it out. Only problem is it seems like it falls apart a lot when inserting it, so you have to put it back together or worse it falls in the toilet and you have to get a whole new one. Maybe it is just me, but it doesnt seem so convenient after all...

I bought these because of the price, quantity, and coupon amazon was offering with purchase. I am a long time tampax pearl user, so I figured I would give the compact size a try. The applicator seems very flimsy and doesn't work as well as a normal applicator. I do like the small size for carrying in a purse, however. They do the job, but I still prefer normal tampax pearl.

I was hoping I liked these, but they just aren't as good as the regular tampax pearl. They are less absorbent and I feel like they are messier. The small pouch they come in don't hold up well in backpacks or gym bags.

The plunger part of these comes out easily; it is not one of the compact types that "click" when in place. That being said, once I got use to that feature it didn't bother me. The tampons themselves work like they are supposed to, and the plastic applicator is much more comfortable to use than the cardboard ones are.

Not a fan. I intended on buying a different brand but these were so cheap that I decided to get these instead. I should have bought the other brand. They're not as comfortable as the other ones and the applicator sucks. They did their job but still will not purchase again.

These are good, they are absorbant. However, as some of the other reviewers have said, they are easy to use and might take a little bit of adjusting to how to apply them. But, they are good, and worth trying if you're interested in something different.
