My 8 year old and I have only had the chance to use this a few times, but so far I can say that this product is excellent. Solid one piece construction with some good weight to it. The grip is secure and the elastic wrist strap really helps the instructor control the wand so that feedback is received on his/her end as well as by the hitter. This helps greatly in identifying breakdowns in the swing technique Great for in the yard or driveway...you only need about 15 ft of circular space to use this effectively...no net or tee required, and no shagging balls. Using this in conjunction with some micro ball training off a tee is a good one two approach for young hitters to really work on developing a consistent swing that incorporates all of the essential fundamentals. Watch the video to get a very accurate idea of how this trainer is actually used. Overall Great Product -- and the seller got it to me very fast.

Great trainer. Probably should have bought a slightly larger version. The ball kind of blends into the stick. The kids are hitting the stick a little bit which I think would make it less durable than just buying a slightly larger ball on the end.

Coaching Little League baseball for 7-9 year olds who had limited batting experience, this tool proved to be a gold mine in developing more consistent hand/eye coordination. Showing the kids when and where to swing while focusing on a smaller object made hitting from a pitching machine that much more enjoyable for everyone involved.

Pros:
Easy to carry to practice, no balls to shag for batting practice and a small target to hit

Cons:
The ball is stationary for hitting, giving the batter a false sense of security

Overall, a great product to work on hand/eye coordination, along with other tools. Was also great for pre-at bat warmups

The microball trainer is perfect for pregame hitting drills. It's like hitting off a tee, but you don't have to collect all the balls. In addition, you can swing it towards the hitter, so it will be like soft toss as well. The person holding the microball trainer should have plenty of space because once its hit hard, there will be a long recoil to get it back in the strike zone.

Works great with my Pony B youth team. The players can tell where the ball "would have" went and it provides great feedback to them. When splitting in groups, this is an excellent and fun way to keep a station going and interested.

Used with my sons little league team... no signs of damage through the first season of use...Handy tool to take some warm up swings and to work on your kids swing hitting different parts of the strike zone.

Great training tool for ball players. I purchased this for my 9 year old and it helped his concentration on watching the ball and increased his hitting with driving the ball off the sweet spot of the bat.

My son enjoys using this to practice for ball games. It has really helped him when batting being his first year playing. Before use he was lucky to hit a ball per game now he has finally made it on base! Good Hand eye coordinator.
