The electronic controls allow you to monitor relative humidity and temperatures. With its frontal located tank and transparent water level window you can easily see how much water has been collected. This collected water can either be drained passively out of the unit with the 3 foot provided hose, or the user can manually empty the collection tank.

So far so good! Has done a great job of lowering the relative humidity of my entire 2 BR apartment. The unit creates a little heat (as all dehumidifiers do) but that is offset by the amount of moisture it pulls from the air. A little loud on high but on the low setting, it is an noisy as you would expect it to be. Would recommend to others.
