I bought this dvd thinking it would be a positive outlook on Michael's life and thats how it started out at the beginning then it went into the false child molestion charges, and some old guy that I didn't bother to acknowledge his name, was bashing Michael throughout the dvd, talking about his face changes and that he named his two sons Prince because he was the King, I figure if that was the case then why didn't he name Paris "Princess", but anyway if you want to but this for collector's reasons thats fine, just don't be foolish and watch it like I did it will make you mad. I love Michael and his family very much and just wish people would stop selling all of this negativity.

I agree with you Katrina like you I was hopeing for good things about Michael Jackson in this DVD, but I was sad to see all of the bad thing in his life and not the good thing that he has done. M.J. we miss you.

Ok- As a true MJ fan, needless to say, I am so mixed on this dvd. What I am learning, as I continue to purchase mass amounts of memorabilia on the greatest artist ever, is not to buy anything that is not authentic... meaning by a reputable company or entity. I am so sick and tired of people placing MJ's name on something and curiosity pulling fans into a trap of purchasing items that turn out to be substandard! It's truly a play on the fan's emotions and as always, a way for people to capitalize on his name- status- and image! But what else is new?

The DVD was seriously ok UNTIL.... the limited perspective of one music journalist continuously shares how MJ was something between greatness and a tragedy! He shares many contradictory statements that make me wonder why is he on this at all? The epitome of my dismay is when he states that "MJ and his career was like a car crash... you know its about to happen, you don't want to watch but you must see how it turns out" (not written verbatim but very close!). Ok- that was it! Or shall I say... "This is it!" I could no longer continue to watch this man trash MJ by saying in one breathe, "yes he was a great entertainer (amongst others) but because of life choices (continuing to dwell on the cosmetic surgery and the case) he was headed for doom!" The DVD shows a lot of fan footage over the years, some music in the background, and snippets of an old 1990's interview.

However, I was grateful to see the 1990's footage when LaToya publically states that she stands up for victims who have been abused and regardless of her love for her brother she cannot understand or support his actions with children. I have always heard of this footage but never viewed it with my own eyes.

This DVD started out recapping Michael's history as an artist but ended up spending an inordinate portion bashing him and playing on the negativity. It is interesting that the DVD played the accusation by LaToya Jackson of child molestation but did not show her later retraction when she claimed that she was forced by her abusive husband to make those accusations. It goes to show, as the previous reviewer noted, how magnanimous Michael's heart really was in completely forgiving his sister and embracing her. The film does show, interestingly, that the jury which totally exonerated Michael of all charges was composed of almost all white members (there was an Hispanic jury member, and no Afro-Americans), belonging to an older, conservative community. It was Garth Brooks who said that no one gave more to charity and humanitarian causes than Michael Jackson. My God, what a loss in Michael's passing.

I have to completely agree with Katrina (comment copied below) about this dvd and this man:

I bought this dvd, some time ago and I was so disgusted by the way this man, Paul Gambaccini spoke and described Michael all through the dvd, that when I watch it I always put his words in the mute. Now I received from Amazon an offer of this same dvd and above you can find a review of one of the fans, (she did not know his name, but I do) that also bought it and who thinks the same as I did. This man is despicable. I heard he is some kind of historian and journalist, in England (I don't know whether he is English or what) and unfortunately he knows NOTHING about Michael and he looks at him with very evil eyes and in some instances with disdain.
My desire when I heard his words on the dvd was to find out a way of making the world of Michael's fans know who he was, but I did not know how and now when I read Katrina's review and was shoked that Amazon would release it, I found my opportunity.
What it is shown on this dvd regarding Michael is fantastic, but Paul Gambaccini makes it sound horrible.

Why does Amazon keep doing this kind of thing against Michael? It upsets me. Do we have any means to get to you people from Amazon, to complain or do we have to bear this forever?
