Directions
Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication.
Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to every other day.

This concealer is pretty inexpensive so you can't expect too much but I was hoping that since it was neutrogena that it would be worth while. It covers blemishes OKAY - which is fine for the price. My problem with this is that it says "skin clearing" and it definitely is not that. I have normal/combo skin mostly its just the "monthly" breakout thing and this definitely doesn't irritate the blemishes/zits but it doesn't go away any sooner than if I wore nothing at all.

I'd say if its an emergency and/or you're looking for something inexpensive then this will work just fine, otherwise if you can afford to spend a little extra I would go with something that actually "clears your skin".

It works well, but when you open it, you have to twist over halfway down the tube to get it working - so from $8-10 you are getting half of the tube you see worth of makeup. It makes more sense to use the bottle of foundation sparingly in spots where you need it. I used this item 3 times, as it runs out quickly. I am going to use the bottle of foundation now.

This product gives good coverage and at the very least does not exacerbate blemishes. It will stain your white clothes, however. If you apply stain remover same day you'll probably be fine, but I got sweaty at a wedding and the concealer ended up on my collar. Didn't wash the shirt right away, and now it's ruined. This doesn't have a bleaching effect like some tinted acne treatments, but it will leave your light-colored clothes the color of the concealer if you're not careful. I don't use this when I anticipate sweating now.

First off, DO NOT BUY THIS FOR $20. It's available in stores for half that price, I have no idea what they're thinking trying to sell it for so much on here. I didn't purchase this item online, I just saw it here and thought I'd review it.

I like this concealer, it works as well as any I've tried and I like that it has a little bit of acne medication in it. I do notice my blemishes disappearing a little faster when I use it.Overall I think it's a recommendable product for acne prone skin.

However, even for the regular price of around $10, it's overpriced. $10 doesn't seem like a lot for a concealer, especially compared to department store brands, but be aware that this tube only contains 0.05 oz of product. The concealer I bought before this was an Origins concealer, which you'd expect to be pretty pricey, right? Well, that concealer was $20 for 0.17 oz- over three times the quantity of product.

So, this Neutrogena concealer is actually MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE by quantity than a fancy department store brand that sells $60 moisturizers. Keep that in mind before you purchase it. I'm considering returning to my origins concealer just because it's more economical, which is not something I ever expected to happen!

This is an awesome blemish clearing concealer. Use it sparingly, only on blemishes, and blend with fingertips. My blemishes clear up that same day and this light concealer blends well with my tinted moisturizer. DON'T use this only as a concealer. It's not meant for that and is too light to truly cover dark spots or even out skin tone. Plus, its blemish clearing ingredients will cause dry skin if you use it only as a concealer.

Here is what I have learned from using this medicated concealer. It is not for everyone as it does have salicylic acid 0.05% in it which is what helps to clear the acne. However, that is not why I tried it. I have a problem with milia on my face, especially the nose and chin areas. If you are not familiar with milia, it is small hard cystic like round "things" right below the surface of the skin. Unlike acne or blackheads, they cannot be squeezed to get the contents out. There is a tool designed to just nick the skin at the site of the milia and extract it. This medicated concealer can be used then in a small amount to cover the area. If all the milia have not surfaced, this concealer will "draw" them to the surface for gentle removal. From what I understand, good exfoliation of your face will keep this condition managed. While all people certainly do not have this problem, I unfortunately do. So my experience is with this only. I also have found that this concealer can be very drying and will cause peeling of the skin since I do use it 2-3 times a day right now. But, I don't mind because I sort of need that action to get rid of the milia. Otherwise, if you experience drying or peeling of your skin, cut back to once a day or every other day. Also, as some have stated, it does not work that well for under foundation concealer as it can be very dry and will show through your foundation. Bottom line, if you need a medication for acne or milia, this works great, and it serves as a concealer while it is doing its job. Once healed, I will most likely switch to another concealer without this ingredient in it. I hope this has been helpful.
