Buy this product with confidence. I've worked as an electrical engineering laboratory technician/manager for 25 years. I bought this product to make a heavy duty generator cable. The cable is very good quality. It's fresh stock and the insulating materials are freshly made and are NOT dried out or stiff. The cable is made of flexible stranded 10 gauge conductors. While I didn't measure them the diameter of the conductors appears to be correct, unlike some Chinese imports which claim to be a specific gauge conductor but actually have smaller cross sectional area than rated.

It took awhile for delivery, but this 25' foot wire is super easy to work with, very flexible, and was $27.00 cheaper than if I had bought it locally. I am using mine for a generator in order to get the generator away from the side of the house...this works perfect.

What can one write about a product of this kind. In the fewest words possible, it's a top end product.

Electric cable of this kind comes in many different gauges (AWG) and environmental qualities. This cable is a 10/4 cable made to "SOOW" standards. What does that mean? It means that it's good stuff.

Applications

If you're going be using this cable as a generator jumper cable from generator to the house, as I am, then a cable's "ampacity" is a word you should look into.

"Ampacity. The maximum current an insulated wire or cable can safely carry without exceeding either the insulation or jacket material limitations. (Same as Current Carrying Ampacity.)"

This cable, according to SOOW standards, has an ampacity of 25 Amps.
