Just opened this item and am planning on giving it to our daughter for Christmas. We are frugal and like to make sure we get the most for our dollar. The photograph of this item makes it look like you are getting much for your money. That is not the case. There is very little in the box and instead of hours of fun it looks like something one would toss aside for something more interesting. Do not purchase this product, your money will go much further buying other art products.

I was really surprised at how much fun my kids had with these. They immediately opened the packages and started creating. We aren't an arts and crafts kind of family either so my expectations were kind of low. I was delighted when they got lost in creating their own work. The materials weren't cheap junk either and it makes such a difference. We had plenty for several afternoons of creativity. Definitely a great gift and a terrific value.

Much more creativity in the marketing than there is substance in the box. I was anxious to receive this kit, but very unimpressed. Really a shame, because I appreciate the company's mission (the only reason I gave them 2 stars) and the fact that they provide employment opportunities to many who really need it, but seriously!?! $22 (I paid $17.90 on Amazon) for 4 8" pieces of thin wire, 9 very small pieces of recycled paper, 11 short pieces of embroidery floss, 7 pieces of felt, and maybe a tablespoon-full of assorted beads? Apparently, the "lots of examples for inspiration" are just the photos on the box and the 4-page flyer folded in the box. This is--at BEST--a $10 retail item. Anyone with a half hour to spare could go to a good craft store, spend $22 on similar supplies and have enough materials to make a dozen or more of these "kits".

My kids enjoy art projects and we've used our share of foam, construction paper, and pipe cleaner kits in the past. I have to say, this kit is a breath of fresh air. The handmade paper is thick and beautiful, the felt is real wool and the beads aren't plastic! The project ideas offered were great starting points. My 6 year-old son got this for a birthday present and I was thrilled to see him and his 8 yr old brother spend an afternoon making art together. I was really impressed with what they came up with. I highly recommend this product.

First of all, I love the simple packaging. The kit is fitted into a reusable bag surrounded by thin, recyclable attractive cardboard. From the moment we opened the package, we found a beautiful variety of well-crafted paper, colorful crafting beads, real wool shapes, good quality thread and needle, and copper wire. It's clear just by looking at the materials that it was thoughtfully planned out. As soon as we looked over the contents, the creativity was already starting to flow. The intriguing wire was picked up first, then it was the wool shapes and the thread and needle. Finally after putting it all together, we sewed it onto the paper. It was about 1 hour of inspired fun. As we began to put the product back into it's bag, I started to realize just how much material we have to work with yet. There are MANY HOURS of crafting in this bag. Don't listen to the review about it not being worth the money, it is totally worth every penny! Just know the quality of this product is thorough and rewarding...that is what you are paying for. Thank you Artterro!

This kit is so much fun. My family has really enjoyed being imaginative with it. We've done several different projects with this one kit. I am most impressed with the quality of the materials. It's a beautiful assembly of materials that are ready to use -- great for my daughter.
