We have a 2 head shower in our master bath and needed to reduce or even shut off the hand wand in the shower. The hand wand design was too concentrated and intense a spray, both by itself, or with the 2nd overhead fixture. This Westbrass valve worked perfect to reduce or even shut off this hand wand for our situation. For those that say these type of valves leak, that is because it uses standard 1/2" threads, not pipe threads which are tapered and therefore seal the more you tighten the fixture. With this valve, you can get some leakage when you tighten it all the way because the threads don't expand. To get a better seal, add another rubber washer or two inside the valve and you will find you can get virtually a 100% seal. The leaks are from the threads, not the ball valve. The ball valve is metal and a 100% seal. A virtual seal in our case was a perfect fix. Now we can use both heads simultaneously with the hand wand intensity dialed down using this valve, or we can actually shut off the hand wand completely, and just use the overhead fixture. Or we can shut off the overhead fixture, and only use the hand wand for cleaning the shower. This was a perfect solution for us. The quality has been excellent, and the color match was good to our existing fixtures. Highly recommend this.

This is the one to get, it doesn't leak, very solid feel. I've tried several and they leak from the top adjustment portion, only this one doesn't.
I've used it for a couple of months and have yet to have any problems with it, recommended highly!

Got three of these, one for every shower in the house. I'm hoping that my kids will take a hint and use this while soaping up and shaving. No reason to let the water run for minutes while you lather up or shave your legs. Not sure how long it will take to recover my money, but at least I'm doing my part to conserve water.

I had been unable to find a shower volume control valve at local hardware stores when it finally occurred to me to look on Amazon. This one was exactly what I needed in the finish that matched my other shower hardware. Now when I get the water temperature right and want to wash with soap and with the water off, I can do so and save water then turn the water back on at the right temperature. This is very handy when you have a shower that is difficult to adjust to just the right temperature.

Externally looks like a quality product. However, the handle does not line up with the hole through the ball, so, full flow requires the handle to be offset from straight. Also, the hole through the ball is not lined up with the hole in the housing, limiting max flow. This one may have just slipped through the quality control system.

A great little water saving device. If your home has a single lever or knob for shower control then these are a good way to cut back on water usage. It's a little pricy for what it is but I'm guessing at the rate I've cut my water usage it should pay for its self in less than a year.

It does what it is supposed to do. It adjust the flow rate and looks good. The valve has a smooth action. The oil rubbed bronze is pretty standard in color. Perhaps it is slightly darker than most oil rubbed bronze.
