My 12 year old son recently put a HUGE chip in his bathtub by knocking down his shower curtain! I thought nothing would cover up the 2 inch wide circle of exposed steel on the tub. I tried 3 other brands before this one (2 of them came from the big chain improvement stores) and nothing matched my American Standard tub! I was about to give up when I saw this on Amazon & figured I would have better luck since it said Porca-Fix was used for American Standard. It MATCHES PERFECTLY after 2 applications (allowing to dry completely in between)!!!!! Now you can not even see this huge chip, which I would have thought impossible!! I did not have any application issues (although I recommend having a paper towel handy for any drips) and the consistency was exactly right (not too thick or thin).....I think some of the past mentioned reviews about the thickness of it are due to storage issues at the distributer (climate control, etc.). I ordered this shipped direct from Amazon (which is ALWAYS my preference) and it came in one day and the box was inside a sealed bag from the manufacturer, completely intact.

I needed to repair a pretty deep, 3-inch-long chip in my kitchen sink around the rim of the metal drain and this product the job. It was so easy. I simply applied the paint like nail polish to the crack before I went to bed, let it dry while I slept, and then lightly sanded/buffed it out the next morning. I will keep it in case I need to use more of it in the future. But for now it looks great -- you can barely tell there was even a chip in my kitchen sink at all!

Tried other products with no success. This was easy, quick, matched perfectly to my American Standard tub. We've been using the tub a while now and it's holding perfectly.

Update: So I applied the product in September 2014. It's May 2015 and I noticed that a bit has come off so I'll have to reapply. It could be that the cleaning lady used the wrong cleaning product or scrubbed too hard. I'm still overall happy with the results.

This stuff is amazing. I was so upset when my American Standard 11 month "new" tub chipped from the shower curtain rod falling on it. There was a black chip about the size of a dime. Three layers of Porcafix and I have a hard time finding the chip! Just make sure you order the one for bathtubs and not the one for hot appliances like stoves. Also, the brush in the bottle was not terrific. The bristles were splayed so after the first application, I bought a fine tipped brush at the hardware store. Great results. This stuff is great!

A good, albeit not perfect, match for any white bathtubs. With patience and wet sanding this will cover nasty chips very well and almost completely blend in. If your bathtub is not flooded with light, you will never notice the touch ups.

I used this product on my mother-in-laws bathroom sink. The sink had a rather large section of metal showing through where the porcelain had been cracked by something being dropped on it. The damage was on the side wall of the sink. The product is very runny and I had difficulty getting the material to stay on the wall long enough to dry. I tried very think layers and a hair dryer to get it to stick, with little luck. With that said, through a process of thin applications and wiping up the excess that ran past the damage, I was eventually able to cover the damage. While the repair doesn't look great, it certainly is much better than it was and the sink is serviceable.

Using 2 colors of this paint allowed me to match the color of ceramic tile in the kitchen. A tiny bit made a few nasty dark spots disappear. Once the paint dries, washing will not remove it.
