For its intended purpose, it works better than super glue. A couple of thoughts:

1. It is "watery," so don't point the tube down until you're ready to apply it. In fact, practice a little to get a feel for how it flows out of the tube. Normally you would squeeze a tube like this. You won't need to do that with this cement. And, be careful to try it/test it over a newspaper or paper towel before you actually use it. You'll learn a lot by doing this simple test.
2. Consider putting masking or painters "edging" tape down to protect the areas adjacent to the area you are gluing. Also, positioning the item so that the liquid cement won't run into a corner or off of the project will help. This will be apparent to you after you do the testing suggested in item 1.

If you're planning to bond sheets of acrylic together, you need this or a similar product. Used correctly, you can't even tell that multiple sheets are involved, and the bonds are very strong. I was building a fish tank divider (to segregate a fish of great wickedness to one side of the tank), and this product was indispensible.

I first tried using weld-on 3, which is very thin and hard to work with. There was a few gaps that needed to be filled and the seller recommended Weldon 16 to fill the gaps in my acrylic sump/refugium, it worked out perfect for filling the gaps

The product states that this glue dries clear. I expected that it mean't you wouldn't see it. This is not true. It's very obvious where the glue is and you can clearly see where you put it. To me that is not clear.

Excellent at gluing plexiglass parts. I used it to glue vertical tabs underneath and on the circumference of a round plexiglass table topper, to keep it from slipping off the round end-table. Virtually impossible to move or flex the tabs -- pull the tab outward and the table top flexes slightly but no hint that the tab will break loose. This is the first plastic glue I trust. Sorry I didn't learn of it sooner...

I purchased a couple sheets of Acrylic to make a project of my imagination and need. This SCIGRIP 16 10315 Acrylic Cement, Low-VOC, Medium bodied, 5 Ounce Tube, Clear from IPSCO bonds the acrylic permanently with proper use. I clean my surfaces first with alcohol to assure a good grip from the cement and so far no failures.

Consistency like syrup. When near full; you do not even need to squeeze the bottle but just tip it. If you squeeze it will be ALL over. I used this to repair a tinted black boat Plexiglas window. The window/visor is about 10" tall and a 3 fee wide on each side. It was cracked all the way through. Holding great so far.

Note: The repair is rather obvious but my window is tinted/smoked and looks decent. Much cheaper than trying to find these rare boat windows/visors.

This acrylic cement wasn't just a solvent that allows two pieces of acrylic to be melted together, but was actually more like acrylic plastic in a fluid gel form. It can fill wide gaps between two sheets of acrylic and will not seep into small gaps like cracks unless forced. I recommend trying to use a thinner acrylic cement for hairline gaps and using this for filling wider uneven gaps. It was perfect for my application of merging pieces of a shattered acrylic plastic water tank for a Honeywell humidifier. It created a very strong bond, which was needed since this water tank has to support the weight of 9 gallons of water and the entire bottom had to be glued back on.
