This is another outstanding product from SureFire. You cannot go wrong with any of their products (IMHO). Beware, this is a big pen - it will not fit in the pen slots of 511 shirts. It is a heavy pen - made of solid metal. If you have small hands, this is not the pen for you. The refill is made by Private Reserve Ink and will last for a long time. The ink itself flows so very smoothly, the smoothest pen I have owned. The high price might make you think twice, but it is a pen that will outlive you and probably generations to come. So, it will pay for itself over time. Just don't lose it! Now that I own the pen, I am extra vigilant to make sure it is in my possession all the time. Well built pen, heavy duty, will last forever, and in a pinch can be used as a tactical weapon - you cannot go wrong with this item.

A great pen, and quite weighty. Sometimes billed as a "tactical pen", though I feel it doesn't quite fit that category. It lacks some of the features that other tactical pens often have, such as knurling, sharp points, etc. this is more of a cross between an executive and tactical pen; it looks less out of place in an office setting than true tactical pens.

The pen comes with a Schmidt refill, which writes very smooth. However, I replaced it with a Fisher Space Pen refill. When you buy one of these refills in retail packaging (available here on Amazon), it comes with an adapter to allow it to fit Parker pens, which is the same form factor of this Surefire pen. It's just a little plastic extension piece that fits on the end of the refill. The Fisher refill is not as smooth as the Schmidt refill that comes in the pen, but it does allow you to write in any orientation (like upside-down), or on Rite in the Rain paper.

Great pen. Feels quality and writes well. Like the cartridge that it comes with, extremely smooth but happy that any Parker refill will work. Anyone that have used my pen momentarily immediately stops a second and comments favorably.

I bought this to replace my older one because I needed it right away. Surefire sent to me the replacement for the old one within a week. Great customer service as always from Surefire. Now I have two of these pens. Happy!

Should have listened to the reviews. The clip bends and you can't bend it back. I thought I could avoid this by being really careful, but it happened about a month in. You have to send it in to Surefire and they will send it back after they repair it. They sent me a free clip, but I can't do it on my own. I couldn't bend it back no matter what I did. The clicker gets stuck the more you use it. Otherwise a cool pen. Nice, heavy, sturdy feel. Buy at your own risk.

This is a great pen, and the EZflow 9000 ink cartridge that it come with is an excellent writer. But... There is a problem in the clicking mech. If you drop or jar the pen, it will either get 'tight' or seize up. The first time this happened I called Surefire and they sent out a new 'clicker' mech right away [great customer service], but it keeps on happening. I've since learned to 'fix' it when this happens, but it is a real pain and you have to be handy to do it.

Surefire needs to use a much larger ball bearing to make this thing have some G-Shock resilience. Especially since its made as 'tactical' pen, what if you had to use it tactically?

This pen is amazing! I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend and when I received it I thought I'd try it out...it writes so smooth and the pen itself has a really great feel to it. I liked it so much that I'm considering buying an additional one for myself. It is definitely worth the money, you're getting what you pay for!

The pen exceeded my expectations. The click mechanism is smooth and very responsive. The pen writes really well. The pen has withstood several large drops on steel decking. It has proven to be very durable and reliable. I highly recommend this pen.
