Bought these for my child to use with a foreign language course. They worked very well, but they were rather small. Take note of their warning that they are for small heads. I would say 7 years would be the top limit to these, and only you truly know your child's head size. Well made, good cushioning, and highly responsive microphone make these an excellent pick! There is a slide adjustment over each ear, but this would max out at the upper age sized head. Sized down all the way these would be for a really small child's head. Starting a foreign language program is better at younger ages anyway, so grab these up and start early! Of course these can be used for any other application where headphone usage would be necessary ~ gaming, internet calling, etc. The microphone can be moved up and out of the way and there are volume controls on the ear cups.

I imagine that those who had to return these expecting a usb headset, did not want to sift through the information given. If you were to read the information though, you would see that the headset is dual 3.5mm jack. These jacks are typically not found on laptops, but it is not unheard of. The jacks are also found on most PC's. If you look at the back of your computer, you should find a green plug for your sound system, and a pink one next to it. The green one is for the sound. The pink one is for the mic input. Some PC's have the dual ports in the front as well. Check your laptop/PC for these ports before purchasing.

Other than that, the headset is great. It fits my 5 year old just fine, allowing him to complete his language program without the discomfort of the large one from before. Like a previous reviewer said the headphones can extend. They are extremely comfortable, and have volume control for each headphone piece. I would say I have a medium sized head, and they fit me too, albeit somewhat uncomfortably. I would say that they are for around 9 year olds but can most likely fit a 12 year old so long as they don't have a large head.

I bought these for my daughter to use with her computer to listen to shows and someday talk on skype with the grandparents. These are really good headphones. Great sound, good volume and lots of control on each ear of the headset. Good long cord too. If you take the adapter off you can also use it will cell phones/tablets. Great headset for a great price.

I had been looking for a volume limiting headset for my six year old so he could skype with family across the world. I did a bunch of research and took the plunge with this set. I had been worried about the separate left and right volume controls but bought it anyways. I am glad I did.

The headset is smaller than an adult headset
The separate left/right volume control is annoying but only minorly
The microphone works well for Skype.

Overall I am satisfied and even happier than I expected with this child's volume limiting headset

We bought these almost two years ago for my children who were, at the time, doing school online. They worked wonderfully. We used the microphone once a week for a year without any problems. They probably still work but now they are used more for earphones than anything else.

Seemed to be well made, though we could not get the mic to work and had to return the headset because it required both audio and voice connections. There might have been an adapter so that it could be use on a mobile device, but there wasn't.

Con: Those knobs on the left and right speakers are independent volume controls.

Other Thoughts: build quality is acceptable. I wish it was USB. If they ever redid the volume controls so that it was a single control and made it USB this would be a 5 star rating.
