Pleasantly Surprised!!, May 14, 2010
This review is from: Digital Bang: The 2010 Sub Pop Sampler For Amazon (MP3 Download)
I have downloaded a few of the freebies on Amazon...I like to listen to new music and see if I can find something fun. I have to tell you...this album really surprised me. There are quite a few great songs that I wasn't expecting. I haven't kept many other free albums I've downloaded but I will definitely keep this one! A few songs I really enjoy are: What's in it for?, Closet Astrologer, Heaven and Earth & Hide it away...and I haven't even listened to the whole thing! Let me know what you think. Thank you Amazon!

Not bad for the price!, July 6, 2010
This review is from: Digital Bang: The 2010 Sub Pop Sampler For Amazon (MP3 Download)
This is a free download album containing a variety of music by different artists, as can be viewed the in album sample index. I have to say this is a pretty good album, Heaven and Earth being my favourite song on the album. It features the band Wolf Parade, which has been making a pretty big splash recently, rising in success. Give this album a shot, it's free so all you have to lose is time. Just make sure to preview the music, first, so you don't waste time on something you won't even like.

Good Artists, Good Songs, August 31, 2010
This review is from: Digital Bang: The 2010 Sub Pop Sampler For Amazon (MP3 Download)
I really enjoyed last year's Sub Pop sampler record, and was introduced to great bands (it was available on their website last year). So when I saw this I knew it'd be good music. "Subliminal Message," "Closet Astrologer" and "What's it in for?" are all really catchy songs well worth a listen.
David Cross was a great actor in Arrested Development, and I'm sure his other stand-up routines are hilarious, but I'm not digging his Coors Light routine on this, probably because I don't drink Coors Light, and tend to ignore commercials. Also, I don't like downloading stand-up routines on my computer as they tend to get less funny with multiple listens, so I skip over it whenever it comes up now. Sorry, David Cross.
"Lemonade" is poetic, as I expected from Cocorosie, though I'm not loving it as much as I like their more popular "Werewolf."
Everything else is really good. Even "Musow(For Our Women)" is really interesting, though I don't quite understand the lyrics.
