This USB extension cable EXCEEDED my expectations and works perfectly. It is ACTUALLY gold plated as shown. I am especially happy because for the cheap price it is good cable. The thickness is as THICK as an Ethernet. One pro about this product is the fact that the female end prevents damage to the cable by covering the metal end. This is my FAVORITE one yet. Expect gold plated, thick wires, strong ends, and what is in the description!

Just got this USB cable in today - works like a charm. A 15 foot USB cable at this price is a bargain you cant beat! Try to get a gold plated 15 foot USB male-to-female cable like this from Walmart or even Radio Shack and you'll pay enough to finance and entire 3rd world country for a month! :-)

I tested this with 2 different chargers of different current ratings. A standard 1 amp iPhone charger and a high quality 2.1 amp charger. Using software on my phone I was able to read the current being drawn. What I found was both chargers when hooked to this cable would only be able to deliver approximately 500ma. When going direct to the chargers the iPhone charger was giving me around 800ma and the 2.1 amp charger was giving me about 1200 ma. My phone was at about 78% charge so it wasn't going to draw max current. Yet either way when hooked to the extension cable, it was only able to pull down around 500ma. The phone is a Droid maxx for reference.

Exactly what I needed, great price fast shipping and I highly recommend it as I have put the cable through alot of abuse hooked up to a laptop with the cord leading outside exposed to the elements sun rain etc and the connections on each end are in perfect shape as is the wire with no cracks or tears overall I would say it was worth every penny.

Bought this for my PlayStation 3 controller as the cord that came with it was too short to use the controller while it was charging. The extension fits snug, I've had no issues with the it coming apart, even if my dog hits it!

This is a good cord, but I had to plug a 3 foot cord into it in order to make use of it. This is because the female/boxy end has a receptacle which is too deep for some devices such as my wifi antenna. I would hear Windows make the sound indicating some device had been connected, but the device didn't seem to have any power going to it as it was probably just a couple mm from being fully plugged in. Luckily I had an extra cable and that fit in all the way and whose female end wasn't too deep to work with my antenna. This won't be a problem with all devices, just some.

This is a very bad cable. The female side of it only fits VERY SLIM USB cables. How slim, you ask? Well, the female side of it doesn't even fit the male side of itself! How's that for poor design!?

Of the myriad USB cables from various devices that I have in my house, only ONE out of dozens and dozens securely fit into the female side of this cable. Ridiculous.

I am using 4 of these as my computer sits a long way from my desk.
All my devices such as mouse, keyboard and printer were too far away from the computer.
These cables really helped extend the reach of my wires and I was able to place my computer where I wanted.

However the connector on the female end protrudes too much and some usb cables cannot plug into the cable fully.
I remedied this buy grinding down the plastic a little so the USB cable could plug in.
I also used an piece of heat shrink tubing over the cable and the connector to make sure the cable does not slip loose.

I have to deduct a star because of this issue.

Cable quality seems good and feels like it will out live the devices that I have plugged into them.
