I don't know where I've been the past few years, but I had never seen one of these dish wands until I noticed a listing for it on Amazon. I hate washing dishes, and have successfully pawned that job off on my kids for the past 20 years. Now that the kids are grown, and not around as much at dinner, the job is once again mine.
My wife likes to cook with cast iron, which does a great job, but can be difficult to clean. I have used this wand without soap to scrub the mess off the cast iron pan. I have loaded the wand to scrub baked on messes on roasting pans. The wand provides extra leverage, making scrubbing easier.
I never thought I'd write a review on a product like this, but I really like the Scotch Brite Dishwand.

I do occasionally use these for dishes but what I commonly use these for is cleaning. I've recently scrubbed bathtub grout with the heavy duty and cleaned the oven with the regular. These are great for all kinds of tough cleaning projects. The handle provides a good grip and leverage and keeps hands dry and clean. ( As noted on the package spot check and use care on more delicate surfaces.)

I also really like the convenience of this 12 head package. As these last a decent amount of time you'll be prepared for a lot of cleaning.

Everything old is new again, or so it seems! I had forgotten how well this kitchen basic works! Attach a pad to the handle, fill the handle with liquid dish soap and scrub away.

This kit supplies a wand and six non-scratch and six heavy duty sponge pads. Enough sponges for perhaps six months of dishwashing in an average household that also has a dishwasher.

I find that the non-scratch pads are sufficient for most dishwashing chores. The heavy duty pads are best left to pots and pans and perhaps grills; those items that can stand greater than average abrasion. The pads start out fairly stiff and inflexible but they soften up with use. I had no trouble reaching into a narrow opening of a vase or scrubbing every surface of the inside of a gravy boat.

A few reviewers have noted that they use more soap with this dishwand, I have experienced just the opposite. I use far less soap because the wand distributes only as much soap as is needed on to the sponge pad. There is a white button to push when more soap is needed, but I find that I don't need to push it all the time because the sponge pad retains quite a bit of suds.

3M makes great products and as far as I'm concerned, this is one of them!

UPDATE 9/1/2015: I am sorry to report that I have begun to experience problems with the wand leaking soap. I had purchased a second wand and had to discard it because no matter what I tried, it leaked too much soap! Somethimes the sponge refills do not fit the wand properly, sometimes the sponge refill is not inserted securely on to the wand, sometimes the wand is defective. Store the dishwand with the handle downwards by balancing it on the edge of a soapdish. This allows the soap to flow to the bottom of the handle and the sponge to dry out.

The product as advertised states that you will be purchasing "Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Dishwand Refills". Scotch-Brite advertises this product to be a sponge head with an attached green scrub device for heavy duty scrubbing. The shipment of refills I received were simply sponge head refills lacking the tougher scrubbing sponge attachment entirely. In order to understand the difference, please refer to the links:

What is advertised:Scotch-brite Heavy Duty Dishwand Refills 481T-12, 3-Count (Pack of 6)

What I received: 3M 482-7-RSC Scotch-Brite Heavy-Duty Dishwand Refill

Needless to say I shipped them back immediately since they cannot be expected to perform the same as the dishwand refills with the green scrub device attached.

I also uploaded a product image for clarification. "Heavy Duty" needs to be removed from the product title, since "Scortch Brite Sponge Dishwand Refills" is the correct name of the item originally sent to me.

It did its job perfectly (fixed the only problem I had with the Scotch Dishwand)... but leaked a LOT of soap due to the hole in the middle. If I didn't leave it upside down nearly all of the soap would leak out from gravity. The sponge attachment I had before (not as good at cleaning in corners) didn't have this problem because it didn't have a hole in the sponge.

I think this issue might be due to the multiple types of Dishwand this attachment fits... But the massive waste of soap makes it a very bad choice for that Dishwand so it shouldn't say it supports it at all - even if it fits it properly.

I haved used the curved dish wand now for a few years and like the usefullness of the product. The one negative is that they last maybe 3 weeks with daily use. The sponge is still useful, but the end rips lose from the wand itself so the curve part no longer helps. There are 2 versions of the refill - one with a solid scrubber and one with a hole in the middle of the scrubber. I like the solid refill better because the refill with the hole uses a LOT more dish liquid. Unfortunately there is no way to tell which version you will get.
